Day 1
So I started writing a diary...I don't really
know why, maybe the fact I can get blown to pieces daily and no one would know
of my inventions. Or the fact I have too much time on my hands, as long as I
still have them.
But, back to the diary's goal, my past
experiences and what happened to me. Those last few days were really crazy,
Hara coming back
The
writing being scribbled nervously at this part
As....undead...that changed so much.
I rejected her...didn't accept as friend, as
who she is... By the Sunwell I was dumb as a murloc...
The
writing gets calm and steady from now on
We got all attacked, Scourge everywhere, house
under attack, explosions, BOOM, crazy days. At least we are for now safe, stuck
in the desert, in Gadgetzan, this place is boiling...If not the engineers and
my hobby I would go crazy after the second hour here.
Its fun to tinker with the contraptions and
not to mention learning from both gnomes and goblins. I think technology is the
only arts you can know everything about and still someone will know a lot more.
With all the commotion I forgot about
repairing my Hog, my mind always wanders of, I can hardly focus on writing,
there’s a shiny wizzlegobber and flux capacitor just right on the boxes....in
front of me....so new...shiny....-------------
Ink becomes
a trail instead letters
...If anyone reads this...I'm going to die out
of shame....
Ok...so my newest invention, well...sadly last
thing I was creative about was the self-heating blanket, luckily for me I
stored it all in Ratchet.
And I told Hara banks are bad..oh bah, I'm a
mage, I can say dozen of things before my brain finds the most logical thing to
say. ...shiny...
Gah!
Ok, now I'm sitting face to face with a wall, which should keep me
focused. I should return to tinkering before I get lazy again.
So many things to invent, create, destroy, and
blow up. And my To Do list never gets shorter, though...I should add a few
things to it, put them on high priority.
A few tools for me, goggles for Hara,
aerofluxer for my flying machine, goggles for me, rocket boots, ooooooh....that’s
gonna be so much work.
And to end my first journal entry...so when I
read this, each time I will slap myself for being an idiot.
Suicide attempts - Five
Attempts succeeded - One
Day 2
I will title this part "A girl and her
puppy". Oh that encounter made me laugh, so here I am, Gadgetzan, hot,
sand everywhere and shiny exciting stuff all around me.
I went to the tavern and HA! Hara's there,
stuffing her mouth as she said. And then! Oh wait right, before that when I
returned from a walk I bumped into a gnome, he thought I'm a magister.
Me! A magister! HAH! Like that will happen,
the magisters would kick me out just for using my contraptions. Tho...it sounds
so...royal. Hmmm Magistrix Firialis...
Nah, I'm good with myself, higher ranks equal
more responsibility. Me no likey!
So, the gnome, he darted off soon after
learning my name, so back to the tavern story. Hara is there, we're talking.
Then I see the cutest wolf puppy EVER!
He looked so adorable and cute, makes me think
if I should tinker and make myself a companion, a puppy or... maybe a tiny
yeti.
And then, the puppy spoke with a troll voice.
Ewww...turns out he was a big smelly troll shaman.
After that I got back to my conversation with
Hara, and he turned into the cute puppy and put his head over my shoulder! And
drooled over my robe! So uncivilized, yet I pat his cute snout anyways. He was
almost immediately gone.
Then Hara and I decided to go to Tirion,
hardly the SAFEST place, but okay, Hara is silly and her brain didn't work even
when she was alive.
So we went to Dalaran, taking a stop in
Shattrath where I bought a new backpack AND the loveliest gizmos which I could
use to make Hara a pair of nice rose colored goggles.
We walked around Dalaran shortly after,
talked, I thought of making a mechanical skeleton servant without using
necromancy, it’s possible, I mean, the frame made from adamantite or cobalt,
would be durable yet mobile. Using arcane to make itself aware on a basic
level, just in case building a remote control to operate manually.
Possible to do...would require amazing amounts
of ore...not to mention professional books on that topic but I am confident I
would be able to do that.
It’s not creating life at its full extent
but...if we could make mechanical constructs, the risk of death when building
contraptions or performing difficult and dangerous labor would drop big time!
So...Dalaran, yes, walking, we went to get
some food, talked about morality of equipment, in my opinion, just because
something was made by someone evil, doesn't change it into an artifact of evil.
We also went to the engineering workshop,
bought a few things, designed a new portable rift generator, and built goggles
for Hara, thought about my Mechano-hog.
When Hara was off to do her own things I
walked around the city, now laying in a comfy bed in a cozy inn, writing.
Finally took some time off and had a break.
Oh and I changed my hair, Hara said it looks
good so YAY. Personally, I think its better, hair doesn't fall into my eyes,
more useful while working.
That’s it for now, I so have to find time to
write more in the evening.
Day 3
Day after day I am closer to inventing
something truly magnificent, that being, a self-aware, mechanical construct.
Creating artificial life using magic and metal.
Staying in Dalaran helps a lot with my
research, the engineers here know their arts very well, and learning from them
opened my eyes to using runes as a way of enhancing the materials.
Tho...I know jack about them...so I guess that
method of reanimating metal won’t work. If that’s even possible in the first
place.
But I started preparing to it anyways, for
now, a sketch with details.
Yes, I've started to put in sketches in my
diary, on the last page and I was clever as always, adding page number by every
sketch, so I know what sketch relates to what idea.
But, back to the construct, I will use an
adamantite bone frame, chalcedony for details such as eyes, so it has style.
Just forging the ore into bones isn't that
hard, it’s but a different mold. Cutting the chalcedony, which I will need a
jewel crafter to do. It was expensive enough, would be a shame to waste it.
Then putting the pieces together, luckily
except books about magic, they do have books on anatomy of various races.
I'm going with the human - elf skeleton build,
keeping proportions right, making it look tall like an elf yet wide in arms
like a human.
Bah...this was supposed to be a diary, not
engineering work log. Back to my day then.
I finally reconstructed my flying machine, its
working even in cold environment such as Northrend.
And while I'm at cold weather, I bought a nice
set of fur lined robes, keeps me warm even when flying. And I ordered a pair of
amazing goggles, they have everything, a scope, magic detecting sensor, a small
crosshair.
Just the perfect thing for me.
Back to regular day subjects, I received a few
letters, mostly from my dear brother, telling me that mom and dad are okay or
that he is doing well with his studies. It’s nice to learn that after I was
attacked, hunted, shot at.
And also...a letter from mom...a title I will
not use anymore when referring to her...
About......I don't know. Maybe half an
hour...maybe more, I got a letter from her, she wrote...that it’s all my fault
that our house was blown up, that I brought filth into our house. Calling me a
Scourge lover...insulting my friend...
So I decided, she is only my stepmother and
will never be mom, I will stay in touch with my brother and through him with
dad. There is no place for me in Silvermoon, I will stay in Dalaran for some
time...then travel, to Outland maybe.
I'm not stupid or powerful enough to take a
tour around Northrend all by myself.
It might have been my fault for making the
bombs back home but I used them in a good way, helping my friend. I regret
nothing.
And as for Hara, she told me she was on a
date, I was relieved to hear that, makes her get a part of her old self back.
Tho, I am not quite sure if she made a good decision with who she went out.
This Knight, Raze.
She seems to like him but, a Knight we met in
front of the Sunreaver Sanctuary, Cillia said he wanted all trolls in Eversong
killed.
That’s genocide! I mean, yes, they attack us,
yes we will kill some of them in self-defense but not a mass murder. I trust
that Hara had a good time so I ask myself, how someone so ruthless can be so
nice and caring.
So, we talked, the three of us, Cillia seems
nice, not like all the always saluting and formal Knights. And apparently, she
has a same sense of fashion as Hara.
After the conversation she left and I talked
with Hara for a brief moment, turns out she didn't sleep for two days. So as a
smart mage I used a secret technique of threatening to make her go to bed.
After that, I had time to read a few books.
Actually...I got the letters and read the after Hara went to bed, oh I know
dear diary, I messed up the chronology, but who cares, I know what happened
when.
After I rest up, I will get back to working on
my construct. Now, time to hug the pillow.
Day 4
This day started dull, extremely dull, but
then I decided to just get into my flying machine and check out the forest
below.
Of course I took safety measures, loaded a bit
ordnance to the toolbox and.....LIFT OFF! Luckily I got my amazing goggles so
no air, dust, bugs, snow, rain in eyes.
The view on the crystallized trees was
amazing, the energy radiating from them, just wow. I didn't land even though I
wanted, apparently something is down there, and didn’t want to take an unneeded
risk.
So I flew around for a few minutes and
returned back to Dalaran.
I went to the library and studied, they might
not use mechanics in their arts but after all, it’s the Kirin Tor. I got a mug
of hot coco, bought a small bag of cookies and read books, for hours.
I think my brain froze a few times from the
amount of knowledge gathered there, I mean, Dalaran is truly a heaven for a
mage.
So there I am, sipping coco and munching on
cookies when I bump into a book about golems. But not just "a book"
that book had golems described from A to Z.
Apparently...this might be what I needed. A
golem, here an adamantite skeleton, if only I could summon a spirit or
elemental to bound it with the frame...
I will find a way, this I vow, golems exist as
bulky creatures hardly capable of precise work, this will change!
But okay, back to diary and my days, after
reading I put the books on their rightful places, ate the rest of the cookies
and returned to the city center. I slept for a few hours and in the evening
went out.
It might have been the best decision of my life
so far.
Oh the people I met, I go downstairs to eat
something but change my mind and walk out, after that, a Dark Ranger approaches
me, and he knows Hara!
So we talk, then a human appears, Malast,
calling Dalaran a purple hell, saying he is blaming society and calling me
babe.
Not to mention the stories he was
saying....wow....either he is the sickest person or the most interesting one.
Oh and this elf...kept staring...weird one.
So, Malast and Zaelan started...well Zaelan started being an asshole towards
Malast, bah men.
Anyways, after it all settled down, a mage
approached us, said hello, listened to Malast and then. Wow he appeared.
A Worgen carrying the warglaives of Azzinoth,
as a Kirin Tor master said. I was amazed, a Worgen, carrying that!
And he talked! And and and he was cuuuuuuuute.
So adorable...that I wanted to hug him. But ok, so he was talking and acting
very civilized.
He introduced himself as Xehav, we talked, and
he helped Malast get out of the well. Malast seems to be a funny person if only
he would be always chasing skirt, so to speak.
So while we're talking, an arrow flies down
and bounces off the rocks, it had a message attached to it. It was written in
demonic runes. We wouldn't have a clue what does it mean if not Erovia.
Ah Erovia...might be the most dumb person I
met so far, coming into a city, half naked, chest exposed....very smart...
At least the idiot told us what was written
and...quickly destroyed it with fire. Oddly, ignored my first questions about
what she did.
So the message means something valuable or
perhaps dangerous for some people.
The message said something about...whispers,
they go loud, they go silent, they returned and that it’s in Blasted Lands.
I will go there out of sheer curiosity,
perhaps I will find something that will help me with my project on the way.
Anyways, after she destroyed it, she hurt
Malast badly. Enough to make him fall, I don't know, didn't check, but maybe
dead.
So using my amazing skills with gizmos and
lack of knowledge if they work, I tried helping him and succeeded.
Tho I might have burnt his clothes a bit.
He walked away after that, I stayed with the
others for some time. But Malast came back and asked for a way out of Dalaran.
As a kind spirit that hates being called per
"babe" or "sweet roll" I showed him the Silver Enclave, one
less problem for that night.
When I went back, I heard something about
another death, and it sounded like Erovias voice, really makes me remember her.
Oh forgot something important, when I was
listening to Malasts story, I flipped a trigger in my goggles and turned on,
what a gnome once called X-Ray. I have no idea why such weird name.
Basically...I saw people without clothes, only
a sick gnomish mind could invent that.
Ok, continuing now, so Erovia and death,
thankfully, only a dead squirrel. Zaelan was there too, I checked his arrow,
seems like he wasn't the messenger.
He walked away somewhere, so did Xehav and
Erovia. I was all alone and I decided to continue with my project.
I ordered molds for the bones at the blacksmith,
now to wait and gather adamantite for the frame.
After that, I went back to the inn, perhaps I
will later go out and wander around the city. That would be all for today.
Day 5
I got up today with one goal, Blasted Lands. I
know it sounds dumb, going there just because a message in demonic told me to.
But I did it anyways, I opened a portal to
Stonard and went through. Of course I left Hara a note where I am going, just
to make her less worried.
So, Stonard, Swamp of Sorrows, smelly, warm,
moist, orcs. I quickly got out of the town and turned towards Blasted Lands.
The second I got there, they appeared,
whispers, silent, unintelligible, and of course, made me curious.
I switched my goggles to Detect Magic, the
place was full of residual energies but one thing stood out of the usual, a
strong energy reading towards a mountain.
I walked to it, the closer I was, the whispers
got louder. I reached the top and...Well, I didn’t expect that.
A lonely sword plunged into the ground, the
energy reading was very strong from it. And it whispered.
It whispered that it’s the spirit of an
avenger, Dimoroc. I was surprised to see and hear that. I talked with him, made
sure he is to be trusted.
He showed me, through the sword, his life and
deeds. Even told me that if I desire to avenge someone, I will probably take
the sword.
But why carry a sword when I could try getting
the owner back to it. So we talked, about his body and its whereabouts.
The Twisting Nether. Bringing a body back from
the Nether all by myself.
Sounds crazy? Yes. Sounds impossible? Yes.
Will I try? Of course!
I promised to do it under four conditions to
which Dimoroc agreed.
An avenger...that avenges those that can’t do
it themselves, those that met a tragedy, those that met a gruesome fate.
Who else could I tell him to avenge if not my
best friend that’s like a sister to me. Hara.
She deserves to be avenged, yes I know it’s
selfish but it’s needed.
So we talked, I got much information from him,
where his body was throws, from where. I even attuned my goggles to recognize
his magic pattern.
And then...his spirit appeared along the
sword. A spirit of an undead made out from metal, metal that is, as he said,
resistant to all forms of physical damage. Exactly what I needed to complete my
project.
With his help building the skeleton will be no
problem. At least I hope so. But even if not, he will help with, what he
called, soul forging.
Whatever he meant, he owes me if I succeed in
helping him. So I bid him farewell and teleported to Shattrath, there I bought
parts to build a magical beacon, something that will allow me to teleport his
body and me back to the sword.
During building it, I met a troll, an
overloaded with lightning troll. Jurnalak Stormbearer. He was an interesting
fellow.
Of course I asked him about the elements and
elementals, thus golems in a way. And mentioned summoning something from the
Twisting Nether.
While he wasn’t a source of infinite
knowledge, it was a fruitful conversation. He even recharged the battery in my
knife, good, it saved one life. Recharged it can save another.
After that I finished building the beacon and
got back to my drink, a Tel'Abim banana goat milk milkshake, delicious.
Shortly after, an undead approached me,
demanding I entertain him. Rather...silly.
He introduced himself as Cale, and in his
"grace" told me to call him Lord Cale or Master Cale......like that
will happen.
But nonetheless, even if he was obnoxious and
rude, a part of me liked talking with him. Funny thing, he said he's a
necromancer, his spell book looked evil also, yet he said he was a mage. He
even conjured a strudel.
And about the insulting and rudeness, he
called me skinny as a toothpick without any sex appeal, what a nerve.
I am not skinny! And I am alluring! Hmpf...I
look good and it’s a fact.
Cale said he has a wife and kids, I guess
before he died or even after it, I mean...we're all living beings with
emotions. Hara proved that.
So anyways, I said he is adorable and
huggable, seems like his wife says the same. Hah, one weak spot on his MIGHTY
and TERRIFYING ego.
Heh I even joked he should work with kids
instead magic, in return I saw his "act". Pulling one eye out,
putting it in mouth then taking out of his body. Funny, in its own undead way.
But after a while, he left. I checked if the
beacon works and headed to the Scryers tier for a nap.
Writing last words before I hop into the bed.
Even if this day wasn’t as surprising as yesterday, it was a good one.
Day 6
I went back to Blasted Lands, what did greet
me? Calm whispers. When I got back to the mountain, I placed the beacon and
Dimoroc appeared.
While we both, as I assume, want to get him
his body back as soon as possible, we took some time off and talked.
I must say, his story is amazing, even if he
doesn't think that. It's sad and made me understand him a bit. He lost his
daughter, I can’t even imagine such pain.
I lost mom but losing a parent isn't the same
as losing a child. Or maybe it is?
He told me about his daughter, Katie, cursed
and yet as he said blessed with cat like features. She must’ve really looked
adorable as a small child.
After he told me about his life and Lordaeron
before the fall, he asked if I could tell him my story. So I did.
In return for his trust and sharing, I did the
same, told him about the most important things in my life.
Shortly after our truly interesting
conversation ended, a group of demons appeared and got where we were. Dimoroc
as he was, he couldn’t do anything to help me.
I had to do what I had to, I fought. Took my
sword and used my magic to repel them.
Casualties: a felguard fell down to death, one
felhound ended with a hole in its head, other one got burnt to ash just like
the rest. Overall, five demons killed.
Dimoroc even said I did well, and he keeps
calling me milady. I'm really not used to that.
After the fight I made myself something to
eat, damn those felhounds...
While and after eating I quickly talked to
Dimoroc and told him I will try bringing his body back as soon as possible.
With that said, I got into my flying machine
and turned to the Dark Portal.
As I am writing this I am closing in to Falcon
Watch, I need to buy something to drink, and I’m all parched. Not to mention
I'd kill for a nice cold bath.
Well maybe not kill, but slightly smack. And
yes I am writing while flying, this thing mostly flies by itself.
Aha, Falcon Watch in my sight, please...may
they have cold water...
Day 7
IT’S DONE!
Both of my plans are done. Today I brought
Dimoroc's body back and got his soul and body together.
Also, he helped me with my golem project. Its
"alive", having an arcane elemental bound to the adamantite skeleton.
In its own metallic way, it’s cute.
But about the first thing, first I tracked
down the first magical source, Dimoroc's head. It talked.
It was funny, putting his head in my toolbox
and sticking a whistle into his mouth, so he signals if a body part is near.
From Hellfire we flew to Terokkar, then
Nagrand then Zangarmarsh and finally, Netherstorm.
I even made a demon annoyed, not smart, I
know. But the result was worth it.
Apparently Dimoroc was away for some long
time, didn’t even know about Dalaran moving to Northrend.
He seemed perhaps happy, back to unlife and to
the world.
On my way, I even got a nice schematic in Area
52. Another gizmo to be made and added to my collection.
The House of Arcane Contraptions sent a
letter, seems urgent. I should go to Ashenvale as soon as I can spare some
time.
While I am highly excited about today, I'm not
sure what to write.
I wonder where Hara is, bought her something
for Frosty. If she again disappeared without a trace...
I will tickle her till she passes out, I
swear.
With Dimoroc back and my golem complete, I
think I will take some time off, of course after returning from Ashenvale.
Maybe I will spend more time in Silvermoon
now, or even travel through Outland as I planned.
Oh and I bought a beautiful shirt today, it
was really expensive, but it looked so good on me.
I should get some sleep and head to the House.
Maybe I will get some applause for the golem. Who knows?
I guess, this is all for today. I seem to lack
a subject to write about.
Day 8
Day long....must.....rest.....
It started in Silvermoon, got a letter with an
appointment date in Ashenvale, and a letter from Hara.
We exchanged a few letters, each one getting
more tense and more angry. Bah...we're just unchangeable.
So then I teleported to Orgrimmar, got a last
letter. It ended up as ash...
I was right there, city gate, about to move
out ----------- ink trail
As said...move out towards Ashen--vale. But...I
couldn’t, instead, I opened a portal to Dalaran.
At first I checked the workshop for any news,
sadly. None.
Oh right, workshop. When I was in Silvermoon
still, I met some magistrix, noble asshole...
Being all almighty, pfft, smartass. I'm unique
and one of a kind, I should be smartass!
My golem acts stupid...by the magic...he's so
clumsy, needs a lot of teaching and improvements.
So, Dalaran, I check the mining shop, sell
some ores, haggle with the damn cheap bastard.
Just saw something great...ethereal magic....I
wanna learn such stuff!
After that I went to the tavern for a second,
saw Hara, didn’t say anything...
Bought myself a glass of wine and cheese.
Cheese good. Wine spilt on Hara.
I think I did it because I wanted to do
something to her without any physical damage.
So we talked, we argued, we yelled...But I
think we finally cleared out some issues.
A paladin approached us, I pranked Hara, put
my goggles over hers and switched the X-Ray mode.
Her reaction, priceless, yet she broke them, I
chased her with fury, jumped into a portal to Shattrath.
There I found her! I even tackled her! Grabbed
her precious ears and started to build heat up.
Hurts? Yes. Smart? Not really. Fair? Not.
Frosty picked me up-- Hara has a lame sense of
fashion. --and later put me down at Haras requests, we had another argue.
Called her a ghoul...oh arcane that was so
horrible...and unthoughtful...
She got on Frosty and flew away, chased her,
found in Nagrand. Oddly, someone was there before me, an elf that was also in
Shattrath.
We talked, he acted rather dumb, like a
complete idiot. But he just crossed the line when I apologized to Hara and he
started laughing.
So I opened a portal behind him and tried
pushing him into it with a blast of fire.
And then, he magically has a glaive in his
hand, blocking off the spell. Shortly after another glaive, his vest disappears
in thin air.
He sits down, pants turn into a kilt,
like...from nowhere. Well...shit, demon hunter, bad, I mean... I could try
fighting with him but...well...
Oddly...he went to the center of the place we were.
And a netherdrake appeared from nowhere! Strange and disturbing encounter.
After that, Hara went to the dock, followed
her, apologized---
A RABBIT JUST TALKED TO ME AND DIED IN A
LIGHTNING BLAST!
But yeah, I apologized to Hara and teased her
a bit, making fun of her silliness, she shoved me into the water.
As a quickly reacting mage, I blinked. Turns
out, the water was very shallow where I landed.
After getting back I tried shoving Hara in,
but of course noooo, she had to grab me! ow...my poor breast...
We both ended up in the water, I got out, and
Hara...was laying there, so I kicked her. While she got up, she started spazzing,
yelling, actually crying.
Apparently she couldn’t find her headband, the
one she got after her mother. A bit inappropriate my reaction was because I
said I don’t care and she destroyed a post mortem birthday present from my mom.
She got angry, I mean, really angry. She was
shaking, got on Frosty, flew away again. Even though she said I shouldn’t even
dare chasing her...
I had to, we're like sisters, so I got into my
flying machine and chased her to Zangarmarsh, kept yelling, asking her to stop.
Luckily she landed on a shroom, we finally
buried the war axe, even decided which one is the older sister hah.
I ended up being the older and smarter one.
Hahahaha.
So anyways, for a short moment we talked, then
we decided to get back to Nagrand.
There Hara claimed the nicer hut, with a roof!
I had to plan on adding a roof to the smaller hut.
So I started planning what materials I will
need. While that lazy ass Hara took a bath.
Suddenly, as she was by the bonfire, a broken Draenei
came there, he was rather surprised to see us there.
We explained what are we doing there, he said
something about that place being unique and left.
I got back to dragging wood out of the hut
while Hara was still naked by the bonfire, told her to put some clothes on.
Funny because I said it on the right time,
right before a Draenei came to the place.
As she said, she lived there while it was
still Draenor, Hara talked with her while I checked my toolbox.
Wanted to prank Hara with a fake confetti
filled grenade, it actually exploded, and it did it very nicely I must say.
I'm getting better with explosives, even if
mistakes happen.
Anyways, the Draenei left, I got my material
list ready and then...Grimtotem tauren appeared.
First some dumb muscle heads, not that hard to
defeat. But then, this huge armored mammoth appeared!
It took me, Hara and this
Caruron....Cauron...Carruon! But together we defeated him.
The tauren seemed to be a spirit walker,
spirits talking through him, not only the good ones. I don’t really trust him.
Not to mention after the attack he opened a
portal to Shattrath, I quickly reacted and opened mine, safety first.
I quickly got into my flying machine and flew
to Shattrath, only to find Hara talking with the tauren.
Spirits talking through him, kind of creepy
and annoying. He left through a portal and me and Hara could finally talk.
I almost fooled her into thinking the Naaru
are made out of candy. Oh the look on her face...priceless.
Even A'dal was disturbed by that conversation.
But ----- heard a bad sounding compilation of
words...
Anyways...we flew to a lake atop a mountain in
Terokkar, found some strange huts there, abandoned place, some eggs, and an
arcane elemental.
After we dealt with the elemental and took a
look around, we bumped into another Draenei, Viridia.
She and Hara went out to the lake and talked
there, I poked a few eggs, one was empty but other had something inside.
I was so excited, thought it might be
something cute, like a nice birdy or something like that.
But no! It was a skeleton! In an egg! It
pounced me!
Oh and there was a troll there, forgot his
name, heh.
After the skeleton encounter, we all talked
and decided to go to Netherstorm, to try living in Stormspire.
I must say, I love this place! So full of
magic and various shiny magical gizmos!
We got here before Viridia and the troll,
Taku. I have a feeling they MIGHT be close together. But that’s just a wild
guess.
Hara got new clothes here, some slutty, some
good looking, some barbaric.
Hmm...This might be everything for today.
Should get some sleep.
Day 9
As Hara was being lazy, I decided to get to
know Stormspire more. To get used to this place.
Aside the Ethereals here, there are a few
goblins, I spent some time, read hours, on chatting with them.
With those I could, about engineering, with
others, I admit, about gambling.
To be honest, that’s a needed skill when
dealing with the Ethereals, they can turn you around and suck you dry out of
money if you aren’t careful.
A few wind traders were passing through the
Spire, checked their goods, I must say, this technology will be hard to
understand and use.
It’s like it’s only understandable to them,
using magic and engineering on a level I am not even rookie at.
Nevertheless, I will try. Who knows, maybe I
will need fake limbs one day. Better if they are top grade if the situation
arises.
So anyways, ordered a new pair of goggles, the
same model Hara broke, luckily the merchant wrote back he has a few pairs left
in stock so I won’t have to wait long.
But even though the technology is complicated,
I think I could find some job here, I even thought about a job for Hara here.
She could help the Ethereals with keeping the
animals in check in the biodomes. Everything is better than being broke and
without money.
I ate a meal in the inn today, the energy
mummies can sure cook. It was so delicious, so recharging, so refreshing.
But their drinks...wow...gooey yet easy to
drink. Sadly couldn't get the recipes, bah.
I'm thinking about flying here and there,
maybe even try scavenging some parts around the Netherstorm.
But time for that will come later, before I
do, I need the damn goggles. I just don't get some things.
Hara isn't shy about walking and meeting
people while naked, but the second she saw a paladin naked, she freaked out.
What a hypocrite...
Day 10
After I got enough materials and parts,
thought I could buy and sell something in Shattrath.
I tried teleporting, by some mistake, most
probably mine, I ended up in Theramore.
But as an ever curious technomage I took a
tour around. I went to the mage tower, the one with Jaina Proudmoore.
There I bumped intro Strudel dude, that is,
Cale. Except him, there was an orc and tauren there.
As usual it seems Cale said I'm horribly thin
and some other rather silly things.
I stood by the orcs chair and said hello, then
he started being rather loud, acting all weird.
Asking how I got there, that is, behind his
chair. When I said, he frowned, overall he looked rather mean.
The tauren talked normally though, he was
scolded quickly by the orc. Seems like a leader of sorts, the orc that is.
But then Cale returned, and a human mage
appeared through a portal.
Lady Jaina talked with the orc about some
meeting and he demanded everyone thrown out so we left the tower.
Cale talked with the girl and I tried to prank
him. I noticed the tauren in front of the tower so I thought my goggles special
feature could entertain me for a moment.
I put my goggles around Cale's head but...they
started malfunctioning, getting a short circuit.
Seems that Strudel dude is a walking
technology hater and anomaly. As he said, cause of the intense magic areas he
lived in.
I quickly got away from him and got to work on
the goggles, to fix what he broke. Luckily it wasn't severe damage.
After that the three of us went to the inn.
The mage girl paid for the room while I sat on the chair to get some rest.
Cale went with her so I guessed I can tag
along also.
Upstairs we started talking, about random
stuff, Cale asked her why is she afraid of knowledge.
Sometime after, I noticed a cat on the bed, a
cute one. Cale said it looked delicious. By the magic he is...well...extremely
odd.
I pet the cat for a second and the girl, Jaina
called her Aldia, left the room.
Cale stated that we are all alone, in a paid
room and that we should drop clothes and heat it up.
Indeed, he is a perverted undead. Also a bit
demented I think.
Thankfully someone knocked on the door, I
opened them, just to see a bear. A talking bear, a night elf druid it turns
out.
She mauled Cale for a talk upon bestiality and
sexing. Indeed, he must be demented and perverted.
Anyways, when we talked, someone said
"Sup", but except us, there was no one in the room.
The mystery was revealed once a rabbit
appeared, a talking rabbit. That could disappear and appear.
I know, strange. But I followed the druid.
After she went and disappeared I went back to the room.
Just to see Cale naked and with a bunny,
alone. Oh sweet arcane it hurts just to write about it.
I run out, demanded acid, and didn’t get it.
After a moment, the druid bumped into the same scene I did.
She run down, asking where she can puke, can’t
blame her. It was a disgusting view.
When we returned, there was no rabbit, Cale
smoking from a pipe, like nothing happened. Sick bastard.
A few moments later a whole bunch of rabbits
appeared, the innkeeper said they have an infestation after a mage experiment
went wrong.
The druid...killed all the rabbits. Cale used
it to think of something evil and plainly wrong. An army of undead rabbits.
I tried to stop him but, no effect. The guards
didn't even listen to the druid.
In the end we left the town and run away from
Cale's sight. Oh and he warned us about NOT going to Menethil Harbor.
Reason? An undead bunny army heading there.
Creepy.
When we were out of sight, I opened a portal
to Exodar. And here I am.
I will get a rest, maybe a long nap. Then I
might check on the engineers around here. I mean, it’s a magical spaceship,
another wish comes true.
Day 11
So we journeyed from Exodar, of course after I
took a few peeks at the stuff they had.
The journey was So LONG! My legs ache...
On the boat I pet her and scratched her behind
ears, heh seems night elves are really wacky.
Anyways, we got to Darkshore and I got
invisible to pass the guards, was all fine until it wore off and I was in the
middle of the dock.
But as always my brilliant mind helped me with
making it past the night elves. Parachute cloak plus fire magic equals hot air
current and boost.
So I landed on the beach and was soon back to
the druid. You know...I still don't know her name.
She was running away from me and teasing so I
yelled I will put her in baby clothes.
By the road I saw a buzzbox and was totally
amazed by it. I started tinkering with it immediately.
The druid approached me and I leaped at her.
Getting quickly on top of her and petting her head.
Silly cat elf hahaha, after a while of cat
petting we moved on.
We went all the way south, long walk, talked
about safety and orcs. Among the other stuff of course. Then she told me to
wait while she checks out some light.
So I waited a few minutes, observed a
butterfly while waiting.
After some time we entered Ashenvale. It
rained. All the time. But even though the weather was bad, we talked and
continued heading to Moonglade.
She said she's home sick. She even breathed in
hard, seems she really missed those areas.
We split up on the road leading to Astranaar,
she went though, and I passed around.
On the way towards Felwood, we talked about
ignorance, as she was rather "I don't care" about anything.
She said I feel the same to her and asked me a
few questions about the world, like it was some sort of quiz. Her common is
horrible.
By a druid outpost we had a quick break where
I checked her with the special function of my goggles. Kept it on to
like...almost the whole way, wow.
As in wow, she looks good and wow it was funny
to tell her she's walking for some time naked. She screamed she isn't, it was
really funny to explain it.
Later we talked about Hara being silly after I
tried pranking her with the goggles. Shortly after we reached the furbolg
tunnel.
I went invisible and got to the Moonglade part
of the tunnel, then I hid there, waiting. Poor cat lost her direction.
After we got out of the tunnel she went all
jumpy, happy to be back home. I went to a lake shore and took a break.
Conjured myself some food and ate it, soon she
returned to me and lied down, again as cat. I even fed her, she ate from my
hands.
I won’t even comment how funny that was. A
night elf eating from a blood elves hand.
Soon she went away and I went to the town
near. At this moment, I am in a very comfortable bed writing this entry.
The pillows are so smooth and cuddly. Almost
like back home.
Day 12
From Moonglade I returned back to Silvermoon,
not really homesick, just wanted to get my things from the workshop.
Moved most if not all to Dalaran, some stuff
still in Area 52 and Stormspire.
Speaking of which, I should go there and check
on Hara, who knows what she could've gotten herself into this time.
In Silvermoon, Eversong actually, I attended
the lecture by the pond, not really studying. Only wanted to know what’s new in
the classic mage world.
Boring as always, nothing exciting happening
there.
Using the time I had, I finally went to
Ashenvale, to the House of Arcane Contraptions. Some of the members
congratulated me on my first golem, machine.
There were a few that weren't happy that I
chose the skeleton frame, saying it’s a bit necromantic. Who cares, it works.
I could finally spend some quality time in a well-supplied
and prepared workshop. This truly is a technomages heaven.
I stored the stuff in my personal storage area
and used a portal to get to Dalaran.
I think I have an idea for a new invention, a
device that allows a more comfortable and natural way of flying. A hot air
propelled air glider.
I still work on schematics, didn't really
build any part for it yet. My assistant, let’s call it that, helps as much as it’s
capable of.
It became less clumsy over time, getting used
to different commands and environment. It can carry various things without
tripping now.
So, Dalaran, had a fantastic meal in the inn,
went to a free room and changed clothes and to work!
The sweet sound of tinkering, metal against
metal, spark flying around. Music for my ears.
I was building a small toy gun when a gnome
approached me and said hi. A fellow engineer, Bombus Centricog.
Seems like a friendly person, weird a bit, not
to mention he's apparently out of his mind a bit. But in a funny manner.
We talked about tinkering, inventions. He even
told me a story about his father being a golem like me, though it seems, vastly
superior.
Well it started with a pair of copper breasts,
I feel safer not knowing why his father wanted copper breasts...
Story continues, his father built a woman,
made out of copper. I don’t know how, but he made her think and in a way, live.
From what Bombus said, she yelled at him,
making him do the housework. Talk about disasters and failures. That’s one big
rise of the machines.
Luckily, I know how to bond with my
inventions, lesser chance of my goggles telling me to go shut myself.
Yes, I see the goggles as my invention, I
reverse engineered them, took them apart and then assembled. This way I understood
how they work.
That’s something I simply love to know, how
things work. A slight obsession one could say.
Anyways as we talked he told me about the
origin of his name and about his first inventions. Guess what a gnome called
Bombus. Bomb-us, could've built.
Later he said I have two nice tinkerings,
goggles and the sentinel as he said, I corrected him with "sentient" though...sentinel
works too I guess.
Sometime after he said he needs to go, get
materials for his own pair of goggles. I gave him some tiger’s eye because he
needed that.
After he left I got back to building my toy
gun, I thought it would be funny to bug people with it, especially Hara.
I fixed up a dozen of darts, with sticky
endings, like they make a plop when you pull them away from a wall.
Fun to shoot, you just rotate a handy gear on
the side, that makes the spring fold and when you pull the trigger, it lets go,
shooting the dart at your target.
Who knows, maybe this toy will get me rich.
Right now
I think I will work on the glider sketches, better to use the calm time I have
before someone else meets me.
Day 13
Day 13
Today I was so bored I decided to spend the
whole day reading books. Lucky for me, something else hopped into my mind.
That certain thing is the air glider I plan to
build. So far I finished the design sketches for the initial version.
I will need some help with building this one,
or at least a trader that could supply me with the needed materials.
This will be at least as much work as with the
copter flying machine. But I am sure the results will be worth it.
And I started practicing shooting with my toy
gun. So far, on the rats in underbelly and some archery target dummies.
Yes I know shooting rats is animal cruelty
but...they were the closest thing to target practice I found.
Anyways, later after I was done shooting I
bought myself a nice pie, as a reward for being so smart heh.
As I was eating, I was staring at a box, a
simple crate. All of sudden, from an undisclosed location, colorful lights,
probably reflections lay down on the crates surface.
That’s how I got an idea, an idea of a
colorful cube toy. Yes, sounds rather lame, I know.
Thinking that just a colored cube wouldn't be
much of a toy I pondered how to make it fun. And I found the answer, puzzles.
I thought of a cube that could be a puzzle toy
and be educational, it would teach patience and smart thinking.
I opened a portal to my storage and got, as I
thought then, all materials I will need. Also I got the idea of visiting
Mudsprocket, to buy some new parts.
From my storage I teleported myself to
Theramore, luckily this time the table I landed on last time was moved.
After leaving the mage tower I stumbled across
a horse riding gnome. While I was deciding should I go to Mudsprocket at once
or eat a meal in the tavern here.
The gnome was talking to himself, some of the
things he said made my reply. He mentioned that he dislikes magic and he would
like to evict the person connected to the undead rabbit army.
Knowing of course who did it and being a mage,
I had to speak to him. He later turned out to be a rather odd gnome. To say at
least.
He called my clothes ragged and expressed his
surprise that a member of the noble elven race wears such work clothes.
I explained that they are not ragged yet
useful and that we aren't handicapped to be unable to work as engineers or
blacksmiths.
As I decided to stay in Theramore and have a
meal, he offered me his company, as you know dear diary, I'm a sociable person,
and so we went to get a meal.
We ordered food and talked. He introduced
himself as Knight Donarvindy the Flying Mace of the Theramore Knights.
Yes I know, that nickname is bizarre, well at
least it was until he explained its origin.
It’s related to his rather savage fighting
technique. I admit, while its savage, it’s funny to imagine, and perhaps
effective as he said.
During the meal I asked him is the glass half
full or half empty. He answered that’s its half full, an optimist.
After we finished eating he offered to keep me
company all the way to Mudsprocket. I must say, for a gnome, he is very knightly.
So we moved out of the town and headed to the
goblin outpost. On the way we had to cross a sabotaged bridge.
Seems the undead prefer to walk knee deeps in
water, wow, idiots. I blinked across what Donarvindy commented with his anti-magic
attitude.
As we continued we talked about the marsh a
bit, specifically, what is he doing here. Seems that after the Gnomeregan
thingy, he decided to live a new life.
Dealing with the past and moving on, oh how
many blood elves needs such trait.
Sometime later, perhaps half the way to
Mudsprocket he killed a huge spider. Gnome one, huge spider zero.
When we finally reached Mudsprocket we took a
look around, I mentioned looking for an engineer and supplier.
He said that we're in a goblin camp, one of
the cliché about goblins, at least according to the people that don’t know
them.
I explained that not every goblin is an
engineer, he said odd, well I guess a gnome that dislikes magic and tinkering,
and their mechanostriders is rather normal, don’t you think my diary? Hahahaha.
Anyways, I went to look through the scope
there. The sky looks nice with such zoom.
Donarvindy said he needs to go for a while,
asking if I will be here or in Theramore. I said I will probably be here and that’s
how it was after he left.
I observed the sky for a brief moment and then
got to work on my puzzle gizmo.
I used some of the crystals I bought in the
jewelry store in Dalaran. The initial concept was rather easy so I had no
problems with the gizmo.
After some time, maybe an hour or two,
Donarvindy returned, covered in blood. As he said hi I slipped and touched a
power crystal, getting myself electrocuted slightly.
We talked, it turned out he was fighting some
of the local black dragonkin, said he got out without a scratch. Good for him.
By then I realized I am missing two parts, two
cables exactly.
We decided that we will go to Gadgetzan, to
not get bored off Mudsprocket and to get the parts.
We moved out of the camp and headed north
towards the Barrens. On the way we talked about home, having it and seeing the
world instead sitting back home.
On the way Donarvindy fought with some humans
in a camp. I blasted a spider. So far, our "team" is doing well.
In the barrens it was hot, as always, we
discussed how the weather everywhere is so different and wacky.
I mentioned Outland, seems he was in Draenor
only a few times, not much of a far traveler I guess.
When we we're by the razorfen grounds, near to
the great lift, an explosion occurred. And it was no simple magical explosion.
It was siege weaponry.
Whose siege weaponry you ask diary? It
belonged to one of my greatest fears. The Grimtotem. They appeared from the
smoke.
Luckily for me I noticed them with my
binocular function. There was like almost a dozen of them. I'm still not sure
why they send that amount of troops after one woman.
Something big is going on, I just know it. I'm
only a technomage, fel I don’t even think I'm divine beautiful, what could
those Grimtotem want from me.
Or perhaps, Donarvindy mentioned slave traffic,
perhaps they find strong people to sell into slavery. But powerful mages or
warriors would break free.
So...who is the group that needs such
slaves...this is an important question.
But back to the encounter, they yelled that if
I go with them, no one will get hurt. Yeah, right, except I would get
"stuffed" by a tauren. Yuck.
Donarvindy said he will hold them off and I
will open a portal. The Grimtotem were serious this time, they sent an
explosive behind me, cutting our way out.
While I was opening a portal they started to
rush against us. In the neck of time I opened it and we got through.
To be honest, I don’t know what made me open a
portal to Shattrath, why not to Silvermoon, or Dalaran.
Perhaps my mind and instinct took it as the
safest place. Who knows?
In the city I talked with A'dal about the
Grimtotem. He said a civil war within the Horde might happen. And that Garrosh
and Magatha are behind it.
If they stand against Thrall and the Horde
returns to its bloody ways...it will mean our end.
With Alliance and Horde fighting, with other
neutral factions taking sides along both factions, our forces in Northrend and
Outland will get weaker.
I can only hope this won’t happen.
After that I and Donarvindy went to the
tavern, on the way I bought cables to the puzzle gizmo.
While inside Donarvindy spoke about this
situation and how in a way it’s funny. All this just to make a puzzle toy.
Now I realize...he was
right...hahahahahahahaha...
Anyways, after a while, I opened a portal for
him, to Theramore.
About the toy, right. You see, I made it a
puzzle. It’s a box, six sides, on each side there are nine different colored
crystals.
They are flat so it’s easy to use. The point
of the puzzle is to put one type color of the crystals on one side.
When you succeed they glow, as long as one
wants. So after the puzzle is solved, you can use it as light. And it looks
nice.
There is of course a reset function. By
pressing two center squares the gizmo mixes the colors by itself.
To solve it you rotate separate rows, it’s really
fun. Not to mention it requires patience and time. So it’s perfect for mages
that look for some time to spend on thinking yet relaxing.
After Donarvindy left, I used my dimensional
ripper and appeared at Area 52. I turned towards the inn right away.
Why Area 52 not Shattrath? Because I want to
check if Hara is still in Stormspire. Oh by the way, I wrote a letter to her, heh.
I have a theory why she is
"missing". Let’s see if it’s true.
Anyways, now I am going to eat a nice warm
stew for supper and hit the hay, literally.
Day 14
After waking up on the uncomfortable hay I
decided to do some work around here.
The ethereal in Area 52 offered some money for
gathering minerals, yeah it was simple so I agreed.
While mining I thought I will use adamantite in
the air glider. Its durable and I got used to using that ore.
After delivering a shipment of ore I got back
to my personal work, started to forge an engine part.
Decided to use two engines boosting the hot
air current. Sounds simple, we'll see how it will work.
I also wrote to Hara that I'm in Area 52 now,
called her ass fat. As predicted she was soon in the town.
We talked for a bit and then I turned my
attention to an elf that was staring at us, Laenor.
He acted let’s say, annoying. I got back to
work when he recognized Hara as an ambassador. Yeah I hate politics so I'd
rather work.
So anyways, after I was done forging the tube
I asked Frosty to cool it down. Lucky that he is always around Hara.
I used my new invention that’s based on
wormholes to put the tube in my workshop, the ZapRemote. Works on non-organic
material only.
In a conversation, Hara said she wants a pair
of x-ray specs, When I said no she played the "I'm leaving" card. Bah,
always works on me.
Laenor was still there and asked if I take commissions
when it comes to building stuff. Well he got my good side, getting paid for
stuff I do because I love to do it.
He also asked for a pair of specs,
pervert...But it seems he wanted high powered ones. Why? No idea, not my thing
as long as I get paid.
Set the price to 50 gold coins, he tried
negotiating, introduced him to the wonderful skill of goblin negotiations, you
bid lower, I raise the price.
Said I will send it to him in three to four
days. I will make them tomorrow. Too lazy today.
Anyways, we went inside the tavern and I
talked to Hara, showed her my new inventions, the dart toy gun and the puzzle
cube.
Interesting that she solved it in mere
moments, forgot she loves to play dumb.
Her silliness showed itself when she stuck two
darts to my chest...silly girl. In revenge I poured the thickest and stickiest
engine oil I had over her hair.
She rushed away, to the nearest pond. Of
course the only place that has a pond is the eco-dome so I got into my flying
machine and followed her.
Again she was naked while talking to me. After
she got dressed we talked, I offered to go to Dalaran where I could make her
specs and she could goof around.
Her response made it clear how much she is
afraid of getting caught, poor girl.
In Dalaran I got the materials and made her a
pair of specs. I returned to Stormspire where she was supposed to be waiting.
I even packed it in a nice gift box, with a
ribbon and all. She instantly opened the box and put the goggles on. And of
course, tested them on me.
Because of that she now knows my biggest
secret dear diary. The tattoo in my ehm, private area. Damn Hara and her
curiosity.
Anyways, she seemed a bit down, even though I
got her the specs. She told me she won’t have any relationship, ever.
As dumb as it may sound, I decided that
forcing her to date someone would clear her mind and get her back to more silly
Hara state.
Tried convincing her to do it on her own,
failed. So I guessed, I have to do it on my own.
So the plan was rather simple, get someone she
likes very much to Stormspire and gloat how deceiving I can be.
First part, choosing the "prey".
Turned out that I only know one person that went on a date with her. Well...don’t
you think that part was simple my diary?
So I wrote a letter, that’s part two. Wrote to
him that Hara is dying and she needs help. I know that a dying undead makes
little sense.
But I wrote it anyways, I even hit my knee so
hard to make myself cry and fake the letter even more. I just hope I don’t need
to repeat that.
Hara went away for a ride and I sent the
letter. Now all I had to do is wait. So I went to work on ethereal technology.
A few hours later Hara was back and the
paladin was there too, forgot his name, something about killing or burning.
Whatever his name wasn’t the point.
I observed them hidden, then when she said she
loves him, I couldn't help myself and shouted woohoo, lost balance and fell
through the leaves.
Heh...quickly told them I'm going to leave the
lovebirds alone and dashed away. Got back to work.
And now, few hours passed, walking around the
Stormspire and guess what, no Hara and her date.
Why do I have the feeling the specs had some
role to play in that...
Day 15
This day started out nice, collected the
payment for the goggles. Round 50 gold coins. Enough to buy me magical supplies.
So I used my last teleportation rune and got
to Silvermoon. I felt thirsty so I hoped happily towards the inn.
I took a seat by some elf, ordered myself a
glass of water. As I was drinking, he said my face looks familiar.
We talked for a moment before Strudel dude,
that is Cale, came inside. Of course he threw a witty comment into the
conversation.
Asked me if he's interrupting the date, I said
yes and told him to go away. As predicted he stayed with us.
Then, he started talking that he's in business
here, with business related to me. As I'm a business woman I turned my
attention to him.
Cale said he saw flyer's in Booty Bay and the
likes about slave handling, FEMALE slave handling. It all fits nicely into the
puzzle.
The Grimtotem capture and rape women, then
sell them off as slaves. They get money through that to pay for their actions
and supplies.
So Cale gave me a gem and said he has a plan.
He told me to take the gem and stick it somewhere in my body or swallow it.
He explained that through this, he can track
and find people. In this case women captured by the Grimtotem.
At first his idea was disgusting to me,
sticking in it in me, I thought "what a sick pervert". We argued
about this for some time.
Cale really seems to be pissed off at the Grimtotem
doing this to women. I admit, I AM impressed that he isn't just a random
Forsaken zombie.
Over time it turned out that his wife might've
been caught by the evil tauren. No surprise he said he wants to destroy them.
But even if vengeance would be his only goal,
his stance on protecting the traveling women is remarkable.
But about the gem, when he gave it to me, I
was nowhere near trusting him. I even checked it with my goggles. It turned out
to be harmless.
I will say more, it was cute, small, finely crafted.
Apparently, easily swallowed. Yes I did it. Even after he told me that I should
keep it in as long as the mess is going on.
It’s the last I could do. If it can lead to
the end of slave handling, fine.
Also me and the elf, West, cute guy, mentioned
meeting the boss slave handler, to beat the shit out of him and get
information.
Cale is right though, if he tried, it proved
to be harder than expected. Probably he doesn't want to meet face to face,
knowing slavery is outlawed.
Surprisingly Cale told his skull accountant
Bill to give me some money for this. As much as the image of a skull with a
necktie was odd.
The money will be put to good use. Would be
unreasonable to spend it on stupid things.
Later we talked about random things. Like Cale
flying on rockets to Draenor, that must've looked funny I bet.
After a moment Cale left the tavern. I talked
to West and it turns out, he never went to Outland. A Journey Virgin, so to
speak.
I teased him how boring and lazy he is, saying
the next girl she meets will boss him around.
So he decided to do something about the
boredom and I opened a portal to Shattrath and so we went.
But before I did open the portal, I looked at
him through my specs, he's a cookie heh...
I told him about the City and showed him a
nice view off the Scryers tier. Later we took a walk across the tier towards
the Aldor rise.
We agreed on going to Nagrand first, we walked
down the path and figured out to sight see from the air. I showed him all the
weird stuff around the area.
Like floating islands that pour infinite water
out of themselves. Or the Spirit Fields.
In midair we decided to skip the other zones
and head to Netherstorm. Hey, magic filled area, I'm all for it.
We turned our flying machine and wind rider in
the right direction and flew ahead.
It took us some time to cross Zangarmarsh and
Blade's Edge. On the way I showed him the Alliance town atop the mushroom. It’s
a really funny thing.
After reaching Netherstorm I showed him Area
52c and told him about Hara and Raze in Stormspire, so we decided to go there.
On the place we met Hara, being lazy on the
"sofa". As always she went straight to the point and announced she
scored.
Juuuust the thing I wanted to hear. And she
asked if West is my boyfriend... She is so silly at times... I bet she fell
down on her head as a kid.
We talked a lot, she said Raze went back to
Northrend. I offered to make food for us and we relaxed while eating.
When West went off to change, me and Hara
talked, girly stuff, mentioned West is cute, and I admitted to ogling him.
But the funniest part, Hara said West is hot.
That was enough to wake someone up, that someone was Raze, he was just in the
alcove, sleeping.
That was all it took for Hara to leap at him.
Geez, talk about a laid-o-meter. She told him to get frosting and dashed away.
Why frosting? Because she was licking a
cupcake. Enough said and written.
So we were left alone to talk. I dropped a pie
with cream on West and he threw it at me. We goofed around like that for a
moment and then we cleaned ourselves.
After a while we went outside and sat on the
floors edge. We talked about some things, then I lied down, observing the mana
clouds.
I also rubbed a cream decorated muffin into
his nose, was fun. Teased him he's fat cause he likes baked goods so much.
After some time of lying there he got up,
saying he's late for his shift. He had this cool hand watch. Goblin made, nice
piece of work.
He gave it to me so I could tinker with it. As
said, cute guy. Not to mention he knows what I like.
He left to Silvermoon and I went to buy parts
to modify his watch. Decided to not put anything explosive or unstable into it.
Instead I turned it into a handy magical
booster. Oddly, that was the most disturbed and interrupted work I ever did.
Why? That’s because a bunch of rabbits
appeared. Yes rabbits, talking rabbits that could go invisible. Yes the ones
Cale turned into undead.
I actually talked with them, warned them that
I will tell Cale about what they are doing. They said... I wouldn't leave the
room alive if I would.
So I started negotiating with them. Ended up
with me conjuring them carrot pies after they all tried to hump me.
And I even got a nice bonus cut in the deal.
They promised to hump Cale the next time they see him. Wonder if they will.
After they were gone I finished tinkering with
the watch and opened a portal to Dalaran. Decided to deposit the money.
While in Dalaran I thought that I could buy
myself something nice. And after scouting the streets I saw a beautiful dress.
I quickly entered the shop and tried it on. It
felt like it was sewn just for me. I spent a fortune on it but I just had to
have it.
After doing some minor shopping, like runes
and parts I was walking towards the portals.
On the way, I saw him. Beautiful blue eyes,
charming smile, dashing hair. He looked at me and I looked back.
I knew that was it, I felt it in my heart. I
turned to the pet shop and went inside.
There I met the most adorable and cute penguin
ever born. I paid for him and took him in arms. When I was walking towards the
door he started chirping.
The poor fellow didn't want to leave the
store. The shop owner told me why, I forgot his lucky hat.
I think fate brought me on the street where
the shop was. The hat was a pilot’s one. The penguin looked so cute with it.
After that I returned to Shattrath and flew to
Stormspire.
West was relaxing on the sofa, Hara nowhere
near. I put the penguin on West and pranked him, speaking with a spooky voice.
But the penguin hopped off him and came to me.
Cute fellow.
I introduced him to West and he agreed it’s a
cute penguin. I also showed him my new dress, on me of course. Turns out I'm
stunning beautiful.
After I got back into my engineer attire, Hara
returned, hair a mess, whole dirty. They really used the free time.
Hara started joking later that me and West
would be a good couple.
I explained to Hara my laid-o-meter theory.
And we put on our specs and turned it into an ogle fest. Poor Westy.
Hara yapped and the secret was blown, he
learned that I've seen him naked.
Hara laughed at me and said I said I liked
what I saw. Yeah, right. I only said a girl can enjoy a nice view. Nothing
else.
Later on, after I talked with West, Hara got
the genius idea of getting a piercing, in her nipple. Really smart, really.
She kept asking where she could get a piercing,
as in, where on her body. I kept telling her it’s a dumb idea and that Raze
would kill her.
A piercing doesn't really look that cute.
Earrings yes, piercings no.
We also talked about middle names, Hara has
Lisa and West has Logan. Mine is Elizabeth, but they didn't ask heh.
After the whole conversation I felt I was
tired so I asked West to carry my bag and went to an alcove to write in piece.
Now I'll go to sleep, with my cute penguin
cuddling to me. This little guy is great. He's so smart and adorable.
And the chirping, amazing. Now finishing my
entry with engineering info. Air glider progress paused, too lazy.
Day 16
Skipped to Silvermoon again, to check the
local news. After I learned that nothing interesting occurred, I went to get a
drink in the tavern.
A nonalcoholic drink that is.
Out of boredom I started modifying the puzzle
cube, to make it harder. I bought myself a glass of water in case of thirst.
Sometime later, the gizmo modified, the glass
half empty, half full. So I'm relaxing and tinkering with random parts.
And then, a girl approached me and held a box
to me. She pressed a button on it and nothing happened.
I thought she has a problem and wants my help,
but she started freaking out that the box doesn't work.
I asked for the box and examined it, too much
arcane energy made it fail. I told that to the girl and she started crying.
She started saying how nothing she does works
and that she never gets accepted into anything.
Out of curiosity, I asked what was the box
supposed to do. The girl said it was supposed to be a self-made gizmo that
would make her worthy of being my apprentice.
Yes, my apprentice, I know, I was as shocked
as you would be my dear diary. Because of that I acted surprised. Apparently
the girl took it as "no".
She run out of the tavern, crying and
obviously ashamed. Yeah...today’s youth. Well what else could I do, packed my
things and followed her.
She was sitting in a corner, all gloomy. I
knelt by her and tried talking with her. She lashed out at me, trying to shoo
me away.
Nothing unexpected if ignoring the fact she
sent ruptures of arcane at me. I raised a shield and jumped away.
And just as every furious rookie, she threw
her invention at me, poor thingy...it was all dented.
It was obvious it was her own energy that broke
the contraption. So I decided to test my own patience. I told her I won’t teach
out on the street.
We argued cause of her stubborn and rude
replies. I was even ready to turn her into a sheep for a moment but she was
about to call the guards. Dumb girl.
So I pulled my special technique on her, ear
grab! No elf will resist that hahaha.
Pulled her to the inn and told her to sit down
while I took a seat by the bar.
Then I explained to her that if she has so
much uncontrolled arcane in her and she tinkered with something it was lucky
she didn't lose her hands.
I asked her what’s her name. She said that it’s
Eamane, no last name.
With that behind me, I knew it’s time to ask
her the basic questions. First question, why did she want to be a technomage.
Not the typical and cliché reply. Using magic
for various purposes and the love of tinkering.
She looked her rather harsh, clothes all
ragged and dirty. Not to mention she used only trash as she says as parts.
I put the cards on the table and explained
that she needs to have her magic controlled before she starts doing some
serious tinkering.
Sadly she only studied magic for a short
period of time. Will have to teach her magic usage AND engineering.
Second question, engineering skills.
"Sucky", great. That’s some huge ass self-confidence.
In course of the question I also learned what the
box was supposed to do. A surprise hay doll, not that stupid.
Then I thought of an idea how to control her
magic. If she is overflowing with it, gotta unload it.
And I now just realized something. That
overcharged troll, he had special armor that was unloading his charge. Maybe
Eamane needs something like that too.
Anyways, the idea was shooting it out. Simple
as that. We went to the pond outside the city and she began to unload the magic
into the pond, aiming at the fish.
After an hour or so, she was finally done. I
tossed her invention at her and told her to fix it, now that she isn't a
walking arcane bomb.
She didn't know how to remove the arcane from
inside the box and its parts but in the end she channeled it into the pond.
After that she did repair it and showed me how
it works. It worked fine until they hay doll shot at me.
She needs to learn a lot...
And to test her logics, I gave her the puzzle
cube to solve. Around half an hour, for a rookie, it’s not that shitty.
But yeah, I took her as a student. Let’s see
what pops out of her next invention. Also it seems she was homeless, poor girl.
But good word, was, now I guess she's stuck
with me and Hara.
...POOR GIRL!
I opened a portal to Shattrath and we went to
Outland. It turns out she doesn't know that much about the world so she is easy
to fool.
Pranked her with A'dal being candy. At first
she didn't trust me and was cautious. But guess what?
She fell for that! She went to A'dal and
grabbed a shard of his. He explained to her that I fool everyone like that.
Well, what can I say?
If someone believes the Naaru are magical
flavor changing holy floating crystal beings...well...yeah. No comment.
She got angry and turned to me, and cause of
her mood shifting, she sent a bolt of arcane at me. At least one instead a
barrage.
After that I said I will make up for pranking
her. Told her she can choose the way I will do it.
I got my flying machine to us and took us
three, Ping was there with us, Ping the Penguin, to Netherstorm.
There I landed in Stormspire, gave her some
money so she can buy new clean clothes and some non-destroyed parts.
After that I took off to Area 52 to check on
the news and do some work. After it now.
Next entry when I wash this goo off me and
after I get a nap.
Day 17
I returned to Stormspire, all covered with goo
and Eamane was waiting for me it seems.
I landed and got out of my flying machine,
told her to not even a say word. I swapped clothes and she gave me a pair of
glasses she made.
Glasses that change color, pretty neat,
nothing highly useful but skill a nice skill show off.
Asked if she had any magic accidents, luckily
she didn't. I instructed her and told a few things about technomagistry, yay a
new word.
Explained how a technomage can bond with his
or her inventions. For starters I told her to build a mechanical squirrel, as a
part of her training and test.
I set the rules and told her to do it. She
walked away at once and got the parts. Seems she is really eager to learn such
stuff.
The only thing she was missing was malachite.
I told her to attune her hearthstone to this place and come back. When she was
back I opened a portal to Silvermoon for her.
Then I walked around for a while, bought some
parts and went to the inn. To skip the time I started messing around with the
puzzle cube.
Didn't even notice when she was back. When I
did, I saw she did make the squirrel. She explained that its eyes are rough
because she doesn't know how to cut gems.
For now she doesn't have to worry about looks,
as long as it works, it’s a huge success for her.
I told her to command the squirrel to do
something. She made it bite bandage, that is, an ethereal. So it did.
I asked if she made a remote control for it
and how did she make it listen. Eamane honestly said she didn't put anything
that allowed voice recognition.
First step behind her, though the major part
of technomages can do that. I mean, only a half brained idiot troll would have
problems with it.
Anyways, I decided to see if she can control
it without speaking. I let Ping walk around the inn and told Eamane to make her
squirrel follow him.
At first it seemed okay until she told me she
thought "Kill the penguin". Such recklessness, what if it would be a
tank or a golem.
I pulled my goggles up and shot a rocket at
the squirrel. Poor Ping, getting chased by a murderous mechanical squirrel. I'm
going to buy him a nice fish for this.
Later I told her about schematics, how to find
flaws in them, modify them, adjust them, to better understand how to do
something.
I even made a trampoline design with a small
flaw in it. It took her moderate time to find, but not at first.
Then I said that we can now work on her magic
control. It seems her emotions are a great danger when it comes to arcane.
So I decided to test that, I started insulting
her hair, style. It didn't took long before she was the center of arcane in the
inn.
But I kept going and well, she burst out,
making me fall from the sofa. Luckily I shielded Ping and me.
I explained to her what happened and we
talked. At least I did, she kept repeating the same lines all over.
I told her to speak, joke, and say anything that’s
not dull. So she told a joke. About Undercity and murlocs. I jokingly said the
murloc speech turned out perfect.
And joked maybe she is one in disguise. Well
her magic didn't like what I said because it started gathering around her
again.
But as I explained I was joking, it just went
into her. To that she said she felt weird and got a headache.
And she said her dad said it’s normal, I don’t
know what exactly, maybe the emotion thing, but I'm not like that. Or perhaps
she meant the spell he cast on her.
Intriguing and perhaps dangerous. If she gets
angry while building something flammable or explosive, bad things may happen.
After that she said she is sleepy and went to
sleep. I took a short nap after which I cleaned my clothes.
Now I'm finally having some free time and
working on the glider design. Perhaps I will finish it this month.
Day 18
Wow, I didn’t write anything in a long time.
Well, nothing much happened to me so this entry will be a short one.
I worked for a while in Area 52, a week or
two. Then I checked Stormspire and decided I should also practice my magic
along engineering.
Oh and I got a tattoo in Area 52.
Anyways, I went to Dalaran and bought some
tomes, where else to learn magic heh.
While studying an elf sat down by my table and
asked about being a technomage, mage and about enchanting.
Well enchanting in the as simple way as
possible, like enchanting arrows.
Arrows are similar to bullets so I thought I
can try helping him out.
His name was Adise and went to the Argent
Crusade camp. Turns out he never did use his residual arcane.
So I taught him the basics and told him to
practice, it went....well I've seen kids more talented.
Anyways, I didn’t teach him how to exactly
enchant or let’s say enhance the arrow. That he did on his own.
Tho not perfectly and not at the first time.
After that we said goodbye and I left to Dalaran.
There I decided to check Shattrath if either
Hara or Eamane are there.
I ended up in the tavern, buying Ping some raw
fish. There a druid walked to my table and asked if he can sit down.
When I said yes he explained he was asking
Ping, as a joke. Druids...seriously, all that dreaming and what not makes them
odd.
Another druid landed by the table, literally
landed. And she started the Blood Elf hate thing.
Funny how those snobs think my race tried to
bring Sargeras into the world while it was their race that was screwing with
the Well.
After that druid left I talked to the calm and
"normal" one. He gave Ping some alcohol like leaf.
The image of a penguin being drunk is
priceless, though he's more adorable when he's sane.
We talked about nature and how everything is
part of it. Nature is okay until it attacks.
Anyways, that’s all for now.
Day 19
And so there she was. Stormspire. The person
that I haven’t seen in ages.....Hara!
Today we finally caught up, Ping was so happy
to see her. So was I. Even If didn’t say it directly.
She of course had her goggles on, tackled me
happily, and almost squished Ping.
I teased her a bit, trying to annoy her like
good old times. She said a funny thing during a conversation about who she
missed more.
That simple sentence was magical to put in a
letter. A letter to her boyfriend!
It was fun, manipulating her, I even gave her
a copy of the letter. She almost leaped to write a following letter and explain
it.
Then she decided to go back home, to
Silvermoon. Seems she can now. So I opened a portal to our home city.
She still had some fear though, putting her
glasses on. I don’t blame her, I know how people react.
I showed her my Mechano-hog, yes I finally
built one, and she loved it. I also showed her my biker outfit.
We went inside the tavern, talked and argued
slightly, dumb thing really, if I'm cute or not.
She dragged me outside, found West and made
him say I am cute. Lame, he isn’t objective in his opinion.
We went back, I was annoyed she did that, made
me feel so shallow.
Sometime later happened something I will not
write about to protect my "sisters" privacy.
After the whole thing she went to bed and I
took a ride around the town and a bit around the forest.
Oh and I also got a new tattoo, on my arm. Tattoos
are fun. Of course in normal amounts.
Going to fix up the passenger seat in the Hog
for Ping and go to bed for a nap.
Day 20
And so I was working on this little gizmo when
Ping brought me my mail. A letter from Eamane.
I almost completely forgot about her being my
apprentice and a living person. She wrote a few letters and explained she is
still in Stormspire.
She was out of money so I opened a wormhole
and go to Area 52 and flew towards Stormspire, slightly hoping she learned
something on her own.
She showed me a spyglass, useful thing but I
expected more. To make sure she doesn't explode I quickly gave her a special
pin, a magic detecting crystal.
A safety measure she liked. I told her I will
teach her something important and we used a portal to get to Silvermoon.
There we went to the engineers place and I
bought her some tools, she needs them both to make useful stuff and plainly to
survive all the technoengineering.
After that we went to the inn and talked about
the gizmo and ways of communicating. I listed many ways and explained my idea. So
I asked, can you carry an orb everywhere?
And what if you run out of paper or ink? She
agreed but commented that a small orb can be carried between breasts.
The youth...Of course I had to act like myself
and respond with a witty comment. Something about carrying an orb in... A place
where the sun doesn't shine.
Eamane said it won’t fit and I said that we
will see about that and slowly walked away. She quickly run after me, heh.
Silly girl.
But back to the serious things.
I think about making something small,
portable, lightweight that will allow communication over long distances. I
really want Eamane to help me with this.
There are many reasons for that, the device
needs two ends for testing, I need help with smaller components, she seems to
be talented even if slightly wacky.
And of course I want her to learn as much as
possible. So we talked step by step how to self-invent and build a device.
It ended up that we will use cobalt and
adamantite to build two prototypes for testing. We're going to use magical orbs
as "speakers" and arcane crystals as energy sources.
We agreed on building a book sized version
before choosing smaller and smaller ratios and components. She commented that
not everything that’s smaller is better.
I think she meant something entirely else than
I had on my mind. It just felt like that.
After our conversation she went to bed and I
went to buy components. On the way I bought some food for Ping and a nice
pillow for his Hog seat.
Now I'm lying on a very comfy sofa, waiting
for my hot coca with cream and candy in it. Life seems to be getting better and
better.
...............................something is
about to fail, badly. Too much peace and luck is never good...
Day 21
Something failed, big time. And this time I
don't think the solution will be easy. It’s about Eamane.
At first we both thought that her unstable
magic is the cause of a curse. But yesterday...things got a lot more
complicated.
I was riding my Hog around Silvermoon and
bumped, luckily not literally, into her. We talked, seems we're getting along
better than expected.
Good, less fried hands, broken fingers and
bruises.
I told her that today we will work on her
magic instead our little project. We left the city and headed to the pond
nearby.
There we talked about what’s the biggest issue
with her magical instability. She said emotions, but we can’t just turn off her
emotions.
So Eamane said that it’s her curse. I
explained that I don't know how to remove a curse until it hit me and I got my
spell book.
I found something that could help, first
attempt failed fast. No magic discharger and protection, her magic quickly went
poof and overloaded.
Second attempt was slightly more rethought.
But we talked and it seemed her curse is fighting against being removed.
So I thought of something...more subconscious.
If Eamane would sleep, she wouldn't be active and neither would she feel
emotions.
But then I understood she can dream, both good
and bad, thus making her feel good or bad. The solution was rather primitive
but doable.
An arcane tranquilizing shot that would put
her to deep sleep without her dreaming. It seemed to work, I set up some
defenses and started another attempt.
That was the time I wrote about earlier. Big
time fail. While I was trying to remove the curse, something crawled to me,
something not physical.
It covered my hands and started speaking to
me, with a mean diabolical voice, to make it creepier, it was female, at least
sounded like that.
The more effort I was putting into removing
it, the stronger it was getting, hinting that it’s feeding off arcane, like a
parasite it seems.
Gotta tell that theory to Eamane. Anyways, it
kept crawling onto me and I dampened my own magic, slightly useless but I
promised her to keep trying.
The voice seemed delighted, saying it will have
two playthings, it also demanded a trade, leaving Eamane but only if given
another body.
I don't know what her father put into her but
I swear if I meet that son of a ----- I will make him pay. Doing such thing to
your own kid...
So, where was I...oh yes, it wanted something
in return. There it hit me, a magical anchor, filtering the spell through some
small animal.
May the undead bunny find rest in true death
now. Sadly it didn't work, little bastard attacked me. Whatever that
"curse" it’s, I can’t deal with it alone.
But I can understand it, plaything...it seems
to find joy in using people to do its will. It also seems to ruin their lives
slowly.
When I met Eamane she looked like she's
homeless and a beggar. Her father might have done that as a trade, daughter for
more power. Or he was just plain evil.
Or he summoned something he was not able to
control and decided to sacrifice his daughter for his safety.
But, back to the main story. I tried to filter
it through a machine then, unsuccessful. And then I started to get weak and it
used the moment, shooting arcane projectiles from Eamane.
I managed to at first hold them back but some
got through, piercing my arm and leg. Then...it shouted, seemed surprised and
pushed back. After that Eamane woke up.
She got me the emergency first aid kit from my
Hog and I patched myself up, still some bruises but better than bleeding.
After that we walked to the benches, I started
to think how to improve the removal process but Eamane gave the right question,
was draining it out the only way.
I'm not sure, she mention that it might be a
split personality, but it doesn't fit the pattern. It might be more or an
entity in her. That’s why I said we will go to the priests.
If those in Silvermoon can’t do anything, we
will head to Shattrath, fel if its needed I will drag her to Dalaran and bug
the mage's there.
There has to be a way to help her. At first I
thought she needs to be "fixed" so she can work without accident, but
she needs a cure to live normally.
When we were resting on the benches, Ping
walked to us. Little bugger was swimming in the pond while I was getting ass
kicked.
He climbed onto the bench Eamane was on and
hopped into her lap. I asked her to watch over him and I went to take a nap.
Slept a few hours, needed that.
Now to find Eamane and get a brilliant idea
how to help her.
Day 22
I decided to travel the world to find a cure
or way to help Eamane. Someone out there has to know something that can help.
Of course the first option was Dalaran, what
better to place to look for answers than a mage city.
I met Hara and Azula there, Hara asking if I
want to go camping. I told her I am too busy, but then I thought a break won’t
do any harm and will help me think more clearly.
So I returned to them and asked if the offer
still stands. Then we started to think where a good place to go camping is.
We ended up flying to the Storm Peaks. There
Azula found a place but there was a giant nearby. So we kept looking.
On the way she led us to some fantastic
mechanical ruins. They were fascinating. I've never seen something so
complicated and huge.
Like the mountains were actually machines. I
have to go there one day to study everything. If I could only get my hands on
schematics or anything related to it...
Anyways, Hara said that Grizzly Hills are a
good place so we flew there. On the way we were looking for a nice spot, but it
was going downhill slowly.
Hara fighting the Scourge recklessly, every
other place too close to potential danger. Finally we found a place, slightly
away from the river but far enough from any unwanted visitors.
Azula flew somewhere and I told Hara I'm going
to fly around. Partly because I thought that if the Storm Peaks hold such
treasures, what could other places hide?
As I was flying I noticed a few bridges, near
the coast. They looked dwarven but...they looked new and advanced, if you can
say that.
So I followed them and found a city complex.
Made out of iron, covered with runes, far more advanced than those stone
buildings back home.
I sneaked into one, found war golem parts.
Interesting, stone masonry yet so much iron golems around. I continued to scout
from the air, some runes looked similar to those in Storm Peaks.
I don't know who made them but this is very
interesting. Then I found a hole in a roof, I landed by it and checked it out.
What I saw was just amazing.
Some sort of energy gathering machine. It
looked like part magical part mechanical. Could it be that those iron dwarves
are actually technomages?
And about iron dwarves. In one of those odd places
in Storm Peaks we saw robot gnome workers along with those iron dwarves.
Tomorrow I'm going to explore more, and I WILL
get my hands on one of those advanced gizmos. I can’t even imagine what
advancement in technology it would bring.
As I flew away from that dwarf town I noticed
similar buildings far on the other side of the coast. When I landed by a house
I noticed many golems that fought some dwarves.
I defeated one of the golems and studied it
for a moment, it was covered with runes that kept glowing. I also found some
text covered parchment.
Sadly I don't know the language, should ask
around in Shattrath or Dalaran.
I got back into my flying machine and took
off, heading up in the air. I noticed some lightning and headed that way. What
I saw is just amazing.
An underground city part, full of iron
dwarves. Those places seem to be everywhere.
After that I returned to the spot I left Hara
at. She was gone, so was Azula. I decided that if they just ditched me I can
fly around more. Maybe find something else that’s interesting.
As I was flying around I noticed smoke on the
horizon, curiously I flew there. And now my dear diary just guess who I saw
there. Hara and Azula at a campsite.
I landed by the tent and talked to them. Seems
those two dummies never prepared their own meal. While Azula is a mage and I
could understand that...
Hara made me slightly shocked, she is a
tracker, hunter, always soooooo brave but she couldn’t get herself to cut a
deer.
Amateurs...I took a knife from Azula and
started to cut it into pieces. Also I was a witness of two people not knowing
that a fishing rod can be also mechanical.
All because I told Azula to go fishing, seems
she used explosives or magic to catch them. Then I gave her my fishing rod and
got back to the deer.
I called Hara over to help me, told her to
remove the deer’s insides. When I cut it open she said "yuck". And
then...she used a sword to scoop the insides away.
The same sword she used to fight murlocs and
the Scourge and fel knows what else. Camping with those two is just bound to
fail.
Then Hara said she needs to go to the bathroom
and went somewhere. While she was gone I talked to Azula. About fishing,
camping, desserts.
After some time I went to look for Hara, she
was gone. When I told Azula about that, we both agreed that she will come back,
some time.
Funny thing, it was rather fast that she came
back. Stinking horribly, her arm broken also horribly. She went to undress and
got into the water.
I quickly told Azula to abort fishing because
Hara will kill all the fish with her stench. Then she swam towards the
waterfall.
I thought that she could use some soap and
told that to Azula. She had some soap and she flew above Hara and dropped her
the soap.
All in all, we had no fish or meat to eat.
Then we talked some more, Hara getting dressed. And pouring alcohol over
herself, as she smelled like wine or something.
Then Azula blasted a bear and gave Hara a
sword to cut it.
Oh and I gave Azula the puzzle cube. After I
asked her a tricky question. Then I took a short nap.
When I woke up, Azula was on the ground, Hara
by her, the puzzle cube on the ground, solved.
As Hara told me, Azula was not able to do it
on her own, got angry, tossed it at a tree, it hit her, she fell to the ground
and Hara solved the puzzle.
After that I reset the puzzle and a
proto-drake stole our soon to be meal. As we all lost the mood for camping we
went to Shattrath by a portal.
There we went to the tavern and ordered some
food and had a little char. I also introduced Ping to Azula. She gave him a
hug.
And then started explaining herself to him,
why she doesn't give hugs to everyone. It was a funny sight.
After that I decided to go home, work on some
devices, eat a proper meal and get some rest. After all, big day tomorrow.
Gotta be ready.
Day 23
I will start this entry with how my day ends. I am sitting on a beds edge. In the bed, Eamane is laying.
After this entry I will slip under the bedcovers, gently wrap arms around her and keep my promise.
Keeping her safe and secure. And I will do that for all my friends. For Hara, for Eamane and for Elie.
This entry will be about them, about my friends. … Kidding, as always I will write about my achievements.
Like a book can understand that…
Anyways. After returning to Silvermoon I didn’t do much, I kept thinking about all those mechanical gnomes. About the mysterious technology.
I only got home, ate a fruit salad and rushed out, teleporting myself to Dalaran. There I planned my journey. First I would travel to the mountains.
Of course the journey might’ve been dangerous so I left Ping at the pet shop. Then I went to the workshop and inspected all of my equipment.
Goggles working fine, tools clean and flawless, gun loaded, ammunition bought, wrist rocket attached.
Of course I bought some bandages, in case I will have to stop bleeding without using my emergency kit. Luckily, neither was needed.
So, when I was ready I got into my flying machine and took off, heading for the mountains. Perhaps it was me being nervous, but it was colder there today.
I watched out for a frozen river, knowing that what I seek is near a frozen one. As I flew up I noticed that entrance into the mountain. I flew inside, determined to find what I am looking for.
What I was looking for? Not answers, not weapons, not devices. I looked for more questions. That’s the law, you keep asking questions.
After the final question, you will get the answer that will reveal answers to every question you stated on your journey.
So I turned the engine down, flying slowly and silently inside, landed in a corner on the corridor. If one can even call that thing a corridor.
I noticed a single mechanical gnome, away from the rest. That was my chance. I attacked it and deactivated it.
As the upper law says, I found more questions. It had a rune covered plate attached to it. Like a label. I took it off the mechagnome and put it in my backpack.
I loaded the construct quickly onto my flying machine and got into the pilots seat. It was better to get out before I’d get into trouble.
I flew out of the mountain, screaming from happiness. I don’t know why, maybe because I found something valuable. Or maybe because it could bring more knowledge.
When I was flying around I decided that I should explore more. I started to fly around, looking for anything interesting.
I headed into a direction that ruined bridge led. What I found at the end was incredible. A huge city like complex. It looked beautiful and interesting.
I landed and looked around, noticing many doors and gates. I took into the air and observed from above. This place, as A’dal called it, Ulduar, was amazing.
I landed by a huge doorway and looked inside, I noticed a machine like those in the mountains. That created another question. Was this whole place built by someone?
I know it sounds insane and stupid but I got out of my flying machine and entered the building. Inside I saw…a huge corridor. And statues. Very weird statues, made out of stars.
I noticed three of them. One depicting a tauren, a night elf with a tiger and one similar to a human. Another question. Why would there be such “statues” in this place.
I was afraid, I was curious, I was insane. I continued deeper inside. I saw iron golems. But those ones didn’t look like those from Grizzly Hills.
They were different, they looked like tall humans, made out of metal, with metal beards and everything.
I slipped past them and saw wonderful architecture. A huge liquid like dome in the ceiling. Huge curtains made out of stars.
More and more questions appeared. Why were metal guardians here? Who build such wonderful place? Why did they create statues out of stars? Who created this place?
While I didn’t find much devices or machines here, I knew this place holds many secrets and wonders.
Did the..now I know…
Yesterday we found a big human that looked like made out of ice atop a mountain. Azula or Hara mentioned he looks like a vrykul.
The guardians inside this building looked very similar, just made out of metal.
So when he said this place holds secrets that are not made for mortals did he mean this place?
I didn’t venture deeper, there were too much guardians, I might’ve been crazy to go inside but I wasn’t crazy enough to fight them.
I quickly got out, blinking and running towards the exit. Outside I got into my flying machine and flew towards Dalaran. Amazed and confused by what I saw.
At the city I dragged the mechagnome to the engineer’s workshop. I will ask if they discovered anything once I am there again. Perhaps I will tinker with it myself.
After that I got back to looking for clues how to help Eamane. Knowing only bits and pieces I looked for anything that looked similar.
Searching took me some time and ended up with a book about demons. It was the only one that described things similar to Eamanes problem.
I took some notes and thought that if it’s a demon we’re fighting we will need some Holy help. I decided to visit Shattrath, The City of Light.
There I noticed that there are many people talking to the Naaru A’dal. I thought that best if I check it out later.
That made me wander around the lower city. There is always something to buy here. All those merchants and traveling traders.
I bought a soap on a rope for Hara, as a little joke cause of the camping. I also bought an apple and munched it while browsing the other goods.
Ping started chirping and his tummy growled. He couldn’t have said it more clearly that he is hungry. I turned towards the tavern.
There I asked Shaarubo for some small fish, he asked that isn’t that a weird meal. I only laughed and paid for it, saying that what can I do, he’s a penguin.
I fed him outside, enjoying the fresh air. I also overheard two people arguing. Over a moth. I turned around and saw an orc talking to an elf.
Curious as always I zoomed onto them, why walk towards them when I could observe from a safe distance. And then…then something happened.
Something that made my journey look unimportant. The elf talking to the orc was…it was Elie. My heart skipped, I held my hand up in the air, holding the last fish in my fingers.
I was too shocked to move, which Ping used for his advantage, snatching the fish from my hand.
As the orc walked away I approached Elie, I had to be sure it’s her. And it was her. Blindfold over eyes, torso covered with bandages, but it was her. The only person allowed to call me by my old nicknamed.
The only person I never felt awkward around. And she was hurt…
She lost her eye sight. Yet she was so happy to see me. I could feel that when she asked if she can hug me. She did it like a child.
I gave her a hug, happy that it really is her. She asked me if we can talk and if I can lead her to her tent. I did so but I said we should talk in the tavern.
She agreed and said she will explain where she was and what happened, but only if I lead her back to her tent so she could get something.
I did so and she took some papers from a small chest. Then we went to the tavern, I helped her sit down. And on her request I sat by her side.
She gave me the parchments and told me to read as she held my hand. She acts and feels like a small child.
That makes it even harder…seeing her hurt so much.
I will not write what I read, it’s her secret and I respect that.
After reading it, I handed the parchments over and we talked. Almost like the old times. It’s been a long time since I felt that.
I offered her my goggles but sadly she said they won’t work. It’s what makes me angry, that I can’t help her. At least not yet.
I also asked her if she has a place to stay. Elie said she has her tent and does that qualify. No that doesn’t, I won’t allow my friend to stay in a tent while in that state. I told her I will take her to my home in Silvermoon.
She was overjoyed, said I give her home, give her hope, that I found her within the storm.
I cried…since a long time I cried. When I think of this day…I still cry. So much happened. So much I got from fate. So much I could lose.
After that Elie went to rest and I wandered around, thinking that I should see if A’dal isn’t busy and if I can ask him for advice.
Before I did that, I met Eamane. And so I instantly took her to A’dal. Demanded he helps her. He didn’t respond. Nothing, not even “no”. So we returned to the tavern.
Eamane saying that I’m terrible. Leaving her alone and just going for a trip. Then I realized how bad that was. And after today’s events I think I was a horrible and worthless person.
I apologized and showed her the rune plate. And I explained the situation about Elie and me not coming back to Eamane sooner. Again she said I put technology over people.
I heard that one more time today, but from someone completely unexpected. But there’s time for that.
Anyways, after we talked I explained what I found, the book I mean. And how the thing in Eamane might be a demon.
As we talked about how it could be fixed she said I perhaps should talk with the other her. I declined, saying I don’t want to talk with it, that I want to remove it.
She tried to say something but fainted…
And then the voice returned, aware of everything we talked about. It said it IS Eamane. That she isn’t an elf, just a vessel for her. I didn’t accept that, called it a lie.
I argued with the demon in her and then it disappeared, letting Eamane back. I got up and told Eamane we’re going to A’dal.
That I will force him to help her. Even said I will bomb the city if I have to. I think…that was my first confession of what I feel to Eamane.
At the Terrace of Light I yelled at A’dal, almost ordering him to help her. But he said he can’t do it without knowing anything.
He said that she might be possessed by an Eredar or actually possessing an Eredar. I pleaded to him for help. But he only said that the answer is within me.
We returned to the tavern, I was completely devastated, I failed to help her. We talked more and…
…and then it happened. We both said why we won’t give up. Why we care for each other.
And then the demon returned, laughing at me, at what I’m doing. It hold an arm to me, ready to attack.
But then I faced my fear, fear of the truth. I was ready to get hit, I was ready to show Eamane how much I trust her. It was the first sign of what I feel to her.
I yelled that I trust her, that I know she won’t hurt me. The demon used it against me. It aimed at her head.
I ran to her, grabbing her arm. I was scared. Ulduar didn’t scare me, artificial mountains didn’t scare. I was scared I could lose the only person I care for so much.
And the demon used it against me. As I grabbed Eamanes arm I felt a surge of power and then there was just a flash of light.
I appeared on a rock floating in the Twisting Nether. Next to me there was Eamane on the ground. And on the other side of the rock…there was the Eredar whore…
She started to walk towards us. I felt no fear. Why? Because I felt that this is the end.
I was alone against an Eredar warlock and even in the face of such situation I ordered her to stop. She laughed at me. And she started to explain everything to me.
Eamane was fake, a prison created to hold her imprisoned or just to keep her alive and safe. But as I write I look at her, I don’t see a cage, I don’t see a prison. I see a beautiful elf.
She said that the Sunwell wasn’t the end of her. I will have to ask around for information about any female Eredar.
Anyways, she explained everything and told me the way how to destroy her. And now I think. If she was inside Eamane, her essence and all…heh…
She said that my love is her weakness and strength, she was obviously confident she will have me and Eamane as play things as she said it herself.
But I realized something when the rock started to crack behind me. The more I was afraid to admit I love Eamane the weaker I was and the stronger she got. And the less I was afraid of it, the stronger I was.
I abandoned fear, I abandoned shame. I realized that technology isn’t the only thing important in life.
I understood that I can run but I will never hide from the truth. I accepted my feelings.
I knew Eamane, the true Eamane, is there, somewhere and that she is listening. Not to that Eredar slut but to me.
I focused, trying to make sure my every word reaches her, and even though I wasn’t sure it will work.
I confessed my feelings to her and…then something happened. I wasn’t afraid anymore, I felt connected to Eamane.
And then it happened. It wasn’t the demon in control anymore, Eamane started to subconsciously fight against her, supported by my feelings.
The Eredar cast a spell at me, it just flew away. And then I saw it, the lack of confidence, fear.
The rock fell apart and she fell into infinity. I won, Eamane was free. After that I saw another flash of light and I was back at Shattrath.
Eamane was on the chair, unconscious. I kneeled by her and tried to wake her up. After she woke up I noticed she isn’t aware of what happened.
So I pinched her ear, asking what will she feel when I do that. She did something I will not write about here.
But then she realized that she is free, no more demons, no more passing out. She kissed me happily.
That was our first kiss. And so we talked, she was happy to be herself now. She also noticed something, that she can control her body. She made some of her hair get blonde strands.
And when she kissed me again…I felt like in heaven. I guess my mind felt that too because I had a nosebleed and couldn’t form a normal sentence.
After that we talked about how we will now be free to create awesome engineering gizmos.
I’ve never seen her so happy.
After she went to the Scryers tier to get some sleep I went to check if the wind trader has something new in stock.
I bought some fascinating mana needles from him and ordered many other parts. After that I walked to the tier. But then….I started to run, just to get to Eamane faster.
In front of the inn I wrote a letter to Hara, telling her to come to Shattrath.
When I entered the inn I walked to Eamanes bed and started to write this entry. This day will be unforgettable.
I can still hear the sentences that made my heart go faster. “Can I hug you Kitty?” or some of the things Eamane said. Now time to go sleep, I feel so tired…
A lot of the coming pages are filled with
schematics with additional notes. It seems that over those weeks Neranti
abandoned connection to the outside world to improve in her skills. Notes
include various methods of using steam powered devices in warfare, mana
crystals as sources of lighting, and a very primitive way of hydraulics for
home use. There are some simple diary like entries, but they are chaotic and out
of place. One page is filled with the name “Eamane” another just blank.
A section of the diary is clipped into a big 6 page blueprint of a simple
flying machine with a scribbled quickly note “Possible!” It is unsure if
Neranti lost her mind after her adventures or not. The last text filled page
has only one sentence written at the lower right corner: “It’s out there.”
Day 43
Well, took me sometime between my last and
current entry. It's all cause of those dwarves and the House.
I was sent to Storm Peaks and join an
expedition to uncover mysteries that may lie deep within those strange
mechanical mountains.
The letter mentioned its top priority and
extremely urgent, I had to go. And that might've been the biggest mistake I
made so far.
I left Eamane all alone, without a note. I had
enough intelligence to send her a letter. Sadly I was proven to be too late.
But I tried to focus on my work. It was not as
fruitless as I feared. We uncovered tablets with blueprints carved on them,
even a few working devices.
But still nothing world shattering. The most
fascinating device I took for myself was a strange compass, able to point any
direction.
I will need to follow it one day, perhaps it
leads to another place full of mysteries.
Aside that I managed to copy down the
blueprints from the tablet. It seems to contain complete schematics and
instructions how to build a golem.
Does not look like one though, it's more
humanoid yet reminds me to clockwork constructs. I can’t decipher the markings
and writings yet, a major setback.
That would summarize what happened before.
Now... Ah yes, after that. Sometime after the expeditions I decided to stay in
Storm Peaks, specifically in K3 camp.
It was near the mountains and run by goblins,
double benefit. I studied the blueprints and worked on my devices. Made a few
new ones, had to keep myself busy.
One day I was flying to Dalaran and thought of
checking the Underbelly, after all you can find the best wares at the worst
place.
I was lucky enough to bump into a small
market, an unusual one. Nonetheless I did manage to find something of value.
An odd value... A few books, interesting
books. And an extremely useful gnomish device.
But that’s a story for a different time and
different diary. The main story of my recent days begins now.
When I was back in Storm Peaks, discussing
things with a goblin engineer I heard someone speak to me from the side.
I turned around and noticed Eamane, oh how
happy I was! Finally I would have someone to talk with and fool around.
But she acted harsh and cold, at first I
thought she is angry and bitter because I left. But it was something else,
something worse.
It was not Eamane anymore, it was again that
demonic piece of...
Eamane was weak and alone, because of me. The
moment I realized how I hurt her I quickly tried to help her.
This time it wasn't that easy. The demon in
her this time knew, that I can’t be underestimated. I could not get to Eamanes
mind this time.
But I knew she's in there, she had to be, so I
talked, I yelled, I begged. I swore to protect her and fight for her.
I will keep that promise. No matter what.
And I did, Eamane broke through, pushing the
demon back into the void. But for how long? How long will it take her to find a
way to overtake her again?
Those questions don't let me sleep at night.
Even if I am with Eamane, what if that is not enough?
I can’t lose her, I don't want to, I love her
too much to live without her. So many answers can be found just by putting a
bolt in the right place.
But here...it's so complicated. But back to
what happened, I drifted away too much.
When I managed to help Eamane I took her
inside the inn. She was cold and sleeping, weakened greatly.
I used my self-heating blanket and myself to
get her warm. And this time I fell asleep, knowing she's there, by me.
After we both woke up we talked, she looked
outside where she is, asking if this is Northrend.
Later we sat down and talked about the devices
and expeditions. And Eamane found the books. My doom is near.
And I decided to ask her something important, I
asked her if she will move in with me. To my house in Silvermoon.
I was so happy when she said yes. With her
near...life is better. Perhaps when she is there, with me, I will be able to
find a way to defeat the demon in her for good.
Wishful thinking but I will not give up.
Day 44
Well, finally I slept some without
interruptions. I was woken up by Eamane cuddling to me.
I sat up and she was still cuddling me, she
looked so cute.
Aside cute, she must've also had REALLY cute
dreams. Needless to say, she needed a change of clothes.
When I woke her up she mutter
"demon" and "let me rest". That disturbed me a lot.
I guess that’s why I wanted to get her home as
fast as I could. There she said she needs some sleep.
Even though it worried me, I told her to do so.
While she was sleeping I was sitting right
next to her. At some point of time my goggles noticed an arcane anomaly, from
Eamane.
And boy...what an anomaly it was. First time
it appeared it lasted only only until she woke up.
When I tried to convince her about what
happened, she didn't believe and got back to sleep.
This time I knew what to do. I talked to the
demon in her. It responded quite fast and easily.
That means Eamane was weakened by the anomaly
and dreams. But nonetheless I talked to that fel scum.
And I learned a few facts, about Eamane, about
demons, about pacts...
Details of the pact are trivial and shouldn't
be written in my diary. But the outcome was amazing.
I made sure the pact has no loopholes, in a
way I forced that demon to help Eamane. It worked.
Today we're going to test something out.
Day 45
Things got quite crazy in recent days. I don't
even know how or why.
A day or two I was constantly in a rush, house
to workshop, workshop to house.
Barely seen Eamane or Keyl, not to mention taking
care of Ping.
But yesterday I got some time, finally. Enough
time to prepare dinner for three. Keyl staying at home one day, dad moved out.
After work I went shopping, bought food and
water. By the way the water prices are getting higher and higher...
Anyways, I came back home, shouted to Eamane
that I'm back. She run down from upstairs and jumped on me, naked.
Quite the welcoming party. When we were
talking, and she was still on me, Keyl walked into the house. Awkward, greatly.
Thankfully he said nothing and just went to
his room. Keyl's room... I shiver at the very thought of the atrocities that
might spawn there...
But on the topic, once Eamane got dressed we
talked about dinner, she wanted roasted salmon in wine sauce.
Yes dear diary, I can cook, I'm surprised
myself.
I told Eamane to go upstairs and wait for
dinner, I also told her to NOT look under the bed. Of course, she looked.
Just as planned, while I was preparing dinner
she found the necklace I got her. Didn't ask if she likes it yet. Silly me.
But silly me doesn't beat silly Eamane, she
told me she found a creepy black box that knew her name. I had to control
myself to not burst into laugh.
And as usual, I was singing and dancing to
cooking, thank the Sunwell that no one saw me. Only Ping's presence doesn't
scare me when I do it.
I guess that's because the little fish monger can’t
talk about it.
Anyways, dinner done, called Eamane and Keyl
down. Only Eamane walked down, Keyl saying he's busy. His loss.
We ate the meal by the table and talked.
Eamane had some problems with her new tool, which needed my attention and
checking.
While we ate she told me the meal is wonderful
as always. As always means in her definition, after two meals. So silly and
lovely she is.
After we were done, we walked to our room and
Eamane showed me the oddly acting tool. I didn't notice anything weird about it
until I activated it.
Then I realized what the problem was, it
wasn't properly maintained and it started to malfunction. So I began to tinker
with it.
Wasn't as hard as I expected, it needed some
casing polishing and outlet cleaning. After that it worked flawlessly, well at
least I hope it will work like that.
And then I decided to tell her about my
marriage and wedding day. She deserves to know. I explained it to her,
thankfully, she kept saying that something didn't seal the deal.
First the "yes", then the vows,
finally the rings. I bet that if I would have my wedding ring she'd find
something else to explain my freedom.
I was actually moved by her behavior then, from
silly girl to loving woman.
After that conversation she went to sleep, I
slept maybe an hour, completely not tired.
I decided to go to my workshop, ironically,
after putting that tiger cub toy for the school, I sat in my flying bike, I
need a feldamn name for it..., and I just feel asleep in it.
Oddly, I woke up hours later, Ping in my lap,
me covered in a blanket, workshop door closed. Buying that mechagnome and
turning it into an assistant was a great deal.
I put Ping on the table and let him play with
diffused bombs. After all, I had to work. I decided to work on just improving
the things I already have.
I just need to fix up the bike's mechanics and
I can drag Eamane into the workshop. We still have a lot to do together, build
that thing from the Titan schematics, or understand that compass.
Also I got a letter from the House, seems my
communicator device inspired a lot of engineers and technomages. In the letter
I received warm words and even schematics to help me.
I guess that if we, not just me, succeed, this
will be a revolution. I hope it will work.
While I was working, I noticed Keyl outside. I
opened the garage door and let him in. We talked about our days and I asked him
if he enjoyed dinner.
He called the beautiful salmon per mashed
food. Ungrateful bastard...
Also, as I told him before, I asked if he did
the dishes. He said no and that instead he woke up mom.
For a second...I wished him to die in front of
me, just for saying such thing. But then I slapped him, family is family,
wishing for them to die is cruel.
Bitch slapping is not!
So we continued to talk, he told me he is busy
today and might not stay for longer. Then we argued slightly.
But we're siblings, that’s normal.
Then when he had to leave, he told me how his
dragonhawk and hawkstrider are named. I laughed so much...
I can’t even write those names as my hand
shakes when I laugh.
Before leaving he kissed my cheek and I told
him to stay safe. While he annoys me, he's my brother, only brother.
The smartass replied that I should stay safe
also. Like I do any dangerous stuff eh? And that little mean penguin decide to
play another prank.
First was throwing a bolt at Keyl's head, in
response Keyl picked him up and turned him upside down, Ping only chirped
cutely.
So this time Ping threw a small bomb on the
ground, one of the flash and sound only. So nothing was damaged.
Keyl came back when he heard the noise. He
laughed at me. Both pet and brother against me...what a life.
NEW
DIARY STARTS HERE
New book,
new page, new beginning.
Day 1 - Again
Been so long since the last time I wrote a
diary. Seems like ages.
My old diary ended up in day 45...I wonder how
long ago that was.
A year? Two? Longer? So many things happened
since that last entry.
Met so many people, seen new and old places...
Come on Neranti, use your brain. Should put
all events in some...order.
Been so long...
Well last thing I remember from ages ago is
that I was in Dalaran. Before I got pregnant, so must've been at least a year
ago.
I met with Eamane, spent some time with her,
along with the night.
It’s...embarrassing and awkward to think about
it in my current situation.
But I'd wish things would be as good as they
were that special night.
Sometime later I must've been traveling, after
abandoning technomagical way of life.
Mostly I spent time in Shattrath and Dalaran.
In Shattrath because Elie was there, missed her so I decided to take care of
her as best as I could.
My visits to Dalaran were purely to boost my
own ego, walking through the streets of the City of Mages. Not quite what I
imagined when I was a child.
But back to my recollection, as time passed I
met new people, made new friendships.
Just to name a few, Krestor, Alanassori,
Relaria, and Alathea.
Teardrop
mark I miss Hara...
Few
drawing attempts of a blood elven girl.
I...Hard for me to understand how dualistic I
am. One moment I want to set things on fire but the other I'm crying over a
good book.
But that’s a story for another time my dearest
diary.
Where was I....ah yes. My new friends, they
turned out to be alright, except Krestor, silly cow-boy.
Alanassori and Relaria became my friends, even
with some harsh beginnings when getting to know Relaria.
What happened next...oh well, saving Relaria
from a demon mind control spell, dealing with drunk mages. Good times.
Days later I started to feel sick, every
morning. Yes dear diary, pregnancy disadvantages.
Following Elie's advice I went to the
Shattrath infirmary. I felt fine but I didn't want to endanger the baby.
Even in such state I kept going her and there,
meeting with my friends.
Till the day I had a nightmare and annoying
dream. Dragons and demons attacking Shattrath...
I am -never- eating or drinking in an Outland
tavern...
But turned out it was real, seemed otherwise.
Highly annoying, I mean seriously.
Even you my diary, being a simple book you
just go silent and think "What the fel?”
And then those goat legged, blue skinned,
tentacle bearded Draenei accused my friends that they caused all the commotion.
But no one noticed a shady character opening a portal.
Days like that I wonder if I'm the only sane
person around.
But it all ended with me, pregnant young girl
getting thrown out of Shattrath. Go go Shattrath! ...City of Light my ass...
Shortly after my adventures began. I traveled
for months, visiting every settlement, reading many exotic books.
I had many goals, one was finding Eamane.
Others were finding a home, job, studying magic.
I didn't even realize how fast time can flow.
One day I just sat down on the bed, caressed my belly and knew that it’s time to
stay in one place.
I remained in Dalaran, Keyl kept sending me
some money. It was then I realized that he's helpful and trustworthy. Good to
know.
Months passed on and on but then a special day
dawned.
After so long without seeing them, I was
reunited with Alana and Relaria. Two greatest friends, and much to my
surprise...something more.
Talking, hugging, arguing, all in a days’ time.
But when I hugged Alanassori from behind...Laid a kiss on her neck...
I just felt falling down into feelings I had
long forgotten. Even for Eamane.
Ink almost over...feldamn...
Guess I will continue this trip into my
memories tomorrow.
Day 1 - Still
First day of writing a diary and all this
happens...
I will write about my past in a moment, just
need to get recent events off my chest.
I was napping on the couch when Fayne came to
the Spire and woke me up.
She was pale, wet and looked awful. She sat
down and cried, I tried to comfort her but hard to comfort someone when you don’t
know what happened.
And then she told me...the necromancer came
back and raised her as undead.
She asked me if there is any way I can help,
any magic...
I did the best I could, managed to get her
heart to beat.
We sat down, wrapped a blanket around her, and
hugged her. She was...I don’t even know the right word.
Soon Relaria dropped by. We explained what
happened, short version. She just walked away and later me and Fayne heard a
scream.
Later she returned, demon form. I shot a
rocket at her back.
Then she explained it all, that she couldn’t
revert and she would leave soon.
But I told her to leave now and blocked her
path. I wouldn’t let Madeline see her like this.
Relaria calmed down and left, Madeline hugged
her and cried, asking her not to go anywhere.
Why won’t Relaria understand that she a normal
family and when she will start to enjoy that fact...
Well she left, Fayne took Mady to bed and got
her to sleep. We talked a bit then, even made her smile and laugh. It'll be
alright...has to be.
Too tired to write about my past...just had to
write about this.
What else happened...well Relaria left to get
help from Anita I guess, Fayne wants to stay in the Spire for a few days, and
I’m working on a new device, something especially for Madeline.
That’s it for day one. Long and eventful day.
Day 2 - Slow day
Where did I stop...oh yes.
Feeling something long forgotten...it happened
between and Alana.
Felt like magic...I've known her for so
long...Yet just on that day I realized how much I missed her, her company, just
her being near me.
She offered me to come with her to her home,
even offered me a comfortable bed so I feel better.
It felt so weird...and happy.
My decision was to stay with her, we began to
share emotions...moments. I felt alive.
I met Krestor at the spire, turns out him and
Relaria were dating.
We talked, he was quite surprised to see me
pregnant.
Days passed and Alana took care of me, worried
about me.
It was amazing, this situation I found myself
at.
Time moved on, minutes, hours, days, weeks.
And the day came.
I never experienced such pain before. But
those hours of pain were worth it.
Everything was worth doing, just to see
Madeline smile as she draws, when she gets sad and her eyes look just like
Eamanes, adorable puppy eyes.
When I held Madeline in my arms of the first
time...I cried so much, I couldn’t believe it happened. My little miracle...
Both me and Alana took care of her. Making
sure she has everything she needs.
One day all three of us went to Dalaran. Alana
was working and I wanted Madeline to have her first memories to be born in that
city.
Call it pride, but I wanted her to grow up
smart and wise.
Also, Dalaran is the -best- place to buy
amazing things, be it clothes or toys.
I bought Madeline a lovely penguin outfit so
she wouldn’t get cold and a magical bracelet.
The bracelet was golden with fancy letters
carved on it. They were shining red and green, all depending at what angle you
held it.
Something in my heart told me that I should
take her on a trip to the beautiful places of Northrend.
Felt that even while only few weeks old, you
know, start teaching early and they will grow into savants.
The biggest mistake of my life...
As we flew above Dragonblight we got between
two fighting dragons. It was unexpected, unplanned and scary as fel.
My dragonhawk went insane, I lost control...
I saw Madeline fall...I reached my hand to
her, I wanted time to stop...
My wish was twisted yet granted...a spell cast
by one the dragons...
Teardrop
marks over the page.
Madeline disappeared....I was falling to the
ground and she was gone...
I looked for her in the snow for hours, I kept
yelling. But she was gone...I couldn’t find her.
I went to the Spire. I don’t remember much...I
just stared ahead.
Few days later, Caldir-- Note on the side of the page
Caldir, Alanassori’s and Relaria’s father,
undead and member of the Forsaken.
In case I forget stuff again.
--came home and to Alana's and mine bedroom.
We were already engaged and dating so we shared the bed.
He told me to come down as he found a child
that I would like to see, said it’s Madeline.
I was furious, thinking he was joking. Ah
crap...ink ov--Letters faint and faded
out.
Blue ink
instead black
There you go my dear diary. New ink. Lovely isn’t
it?
Well, I thought he is joking but then I saw
that girl. She looked at least 73 years old. That’s around twelve years when
humans count, bizarre.
I asked her things...and then I saw the
bracelet. "Madeline Firialis-Dawnfire"
When she asked "Mommy?”... I couldn’t
hold tears back. Teardrop marks again
Enough memories for today.
Such dull day anyway, don’t have much to write
about yet.
Day 2 - What the fel!?
Slow day....right...
I woke up and went to see how Fayne is. We had
a nice chat about her new life.
She even got herself new clothes and changed
her hairstyle, suits her I think.
Then...Relaria came, carrying Anita. Anita was
bleeding badly while Relaria had fel cracks all over her and started to fall
apart.
Fayne helped Relaria while I was patching up
Anita. She had a nasty claw wound, demon essence. Had to clean it with holy
water.
I left Anita under Fayne’s care and I decided
to help Relaria with the fel overload.
To do that I used an energy extractor to drain
some of energy inside her, gave her some time.
We went to the camp Relaria was at, the
bloodmage one. Our goal was to find a felblood elf called Tahril.
We kept walking through Terokkar, ambushed by
some wildlife, I used my device to get us back to the Spire.
Once we were back home I opened a portal to
Shattrath, took me some time but in the end, managed to open it.
From there we went towards Hellfire, took us
some time but we found Tahril.
After a while he was finally convinced to help
Relaria. It was dangerous but she agreed to the terms.
He started to drain her out of fel. Relarias
fel cracks opened, she was in pain but it seemed to help.
When it seemed to be over, he continued to
drain, looking as if he was concentrating even more.
I heard Relaria scream in pain that it hurts.
It didn’t look right, getting help from a demon wasn’t right at all.
I shot a frost nova onto his hand, interrupting
it. He claimed that he did it just to help her but I didn’t believe it.
He left and I helped Relaria come back home,
to the Spire. Fayne was waiting for us there.
Anita was resting in the upper bedroom and I
started to treat Relarias injuries.
Had to clean her wounds with holy water as
well, then inject her with healing potions, clean the wounds with a fresh
towel, stich some of the more open ones and finally bandage her arms.
Then we decided to have some tea and talk. As
we had tea, Relaria turned out to be unable to drink herself.
So first me, then Fayne had to help her with
it. Meanwhile I fed some yoghurt to Anita.
Much to my surprise she managed to wake up
soon, asking for Relaria. I told both Fayne and Relaria about it.
While Fayne was hesitant to see Anita, due to
being undead, she did walk upstairs as well.
When Relaria heard, hah, she jumped across the
table and run up along the stairs, could hear her whimpering while still in the
kitchen.
Relaria lied down by Anita and me and Fayne
decided to give them some time alone, they both deserve rest.
Myself, I think I will work on the gizmo and
vehicle for Madeline. These days were really crazy...Need some time only with
tools and inventions.
And I already told Relaria that I will drag
the whole family to Quel'Danas. But it might end up me, Relaria and Anita going
there.
Me...Cause I feel that I should, might also
take Madeline there. Relaria because she needs to detoxify from all the fel
inside her, Anita pretty much the same.
Now, time to work.
Day 5 - Tears and regrets
Those last few days...blessed with peace.
Managed to finish a few loose ends.
Toy and strider for Madeline, left Amarisa
some guidelines and notes what she has to do when I'm gone.
Also today the expansion of my workshop finished.
Pretty nice set up. Modified the original design too.
But anyway, now that I have a moment to catch
my breath I can finally write things down.
On my way to Stranglethorn now, the zeppelin
moving slowly and steadily. The winds hitting against my face.
Now I have time, will reach my destination in
quite some days.
Maybe let’s start on recollecting what
happened to me thus far. Just where was I?
Ah yes...the day when Madeline came back.
She was older, almost a teenager. I lost so
many years with her. Her first step, first word. Every day I hate myself for
this.
But now we're a family again, together. I won’t
lose her again, will do everything to keep her safe.
Those were also the days when both me and
Madeline really accepted Caldir. Disliked him, pretty obvious.
As time passed our mother-daughter bond
blossomed into what it should be. Now I'm thinking about my little girl’s
future.
We all agreed to teach her magic instead
sending her to an academy. But...perhaps she should live a normal life?
She seems to be talented in everything she
does, must be the abnormal magic aura Relaria mentioned.
Nothing that I didn’t expect, taking into
account her parents and stuff like that.
I honestly don’t know what else I should write
down. My life resumed once my daughter came back.
Anything else that happened simply happened, I
don’t think about it too much.
Well Anita appeared, my sister. After some
harsh moments and days of awkward meetings we finally got back together,
treating each other equally.
But anyway, those previous days nothing
important happened. So I didn’t bother writing it down.
So maybe something that happened today. I left
the Spire and began my journey to the House.
I locked my workshop and set all the needed
devices and machines to run on automatic mode.
All should be fine, Amarisa and my mechagnome
should be fine with maintaining all the devices.
Hardest was to part with Madeline. When I told
her that I'm leaving and saw those sad eyes...
I knew she will cry any moment. But she didn’t.
My big girl...
Fayne is watching over her, promised to bring
both something nice. The gatherings last a few days but it’s just few hours of
discussion.
Just for that special occasion I took a quite
nice amount of money from my deposit.
I'm sure they will be both ok. Fayne is
somewhat childish herself and even undeath couldn’t keep that locked away.
Just hoping that Madeline doesn’t drive her
crazy, possible, my little girl is quite the active child.
Well, that would be all for now. Will write
down my thoughts about life later.
Ha! Got you there dear diary, like I'd write
down such rambling...
Day 7 - Illusions and fish
Got off the zeppelin today, decided to
continue by sea so I got to Booty Bay.
Nice sights on my way, riding through the vale
was a nice refresher from the everyday forests of Eversong.
Been thinking about a few new devices, mainly
about something that would let people talk for long distances.
Already got the first design and idea in my
head. I'll try to build it once I'm at the House.
I had a funny moment today. When I got to
Booty Bay I decided to eat something, was slightly famished.
Bargaining about the price with a
goblin...priceless. Also met an interesting person in the tavern.
A human woman disguised as an elf. Quite
impressive illusion I must say, wouldn’t realize the truth if not my goggles.
We talked for a moment while I was eating.
Seems she knows about the House or its location, and perhaps tried to get in.
It was a brief conversation, ended when she
left. Damn good fish though, tops eating dry bread with days old ham.
Going to relax now, watch the bay. Waiting for
the ship to arrive and welcome Ratchet.
Let’s say... Day 15 - Revelations
Unusual entry because I honestly lost track of
time here.
It’s been four, no, five days of being in the
House of Arcane Contraption.
The road through the Barrens wasn't that
tough, felt a few quakes though. Either goblins were experimenting or the world
is falling apart. No idea which would be worse...
Anyway, I got here safe and sound, noticed a
few more elves than last time. Perhaps there are some of us that are open
minded.
I arrived here in time to be given a place in
the comfortable living quarters. I sleep in a bed!
I even made it to the first meeting, out of
three. I have to say, techno mages are way more organized than some kingdoms.
Three days, three meetings, then a day of open
market. On the fourth day we have personal meetings and lectures.
Fifth day is the best though, contests and
lotteries, of course it’s all goblin sponsored so no chances of winning money.
But I won an awesome gadget! A dragon figurine
with its head bobbing up and down, up and down. Useless but fun!
Maybe I should write more about the time I
spent here...
Well when I arrived here, I was assigned
quarters and went to see if I got the civilized ones or the
better-luck-next-time ones.
I was pleasantly surprised, a nice comfortable
bed, food downstairs, cold drinks.
Nothing will ever convince me that pursuing
technomagical skills was pointless. Drank this fizzled beverage on my first
day, met a few old friends.
By the Sun...I -never- drank anything better.
Rich amounts of bubbles, cold perspiring glass, and the fizzling gas hitting
your face softly when you smell it.
I bought a whole crate on the first day. Going
to get the recipe before leaving.
Probably its goblin recipe...means a twelve
page contract that I will never sell it as my own product. Worth it!
What else...well after drinking with some of
the other tinkerers we got to the first meeting, it was an opening ceremony.
I was actually shocked when I saw who gave the
opening speech. The Cabal.
The three founders of the House. It’s a
legendary sight.
Luckily the meeting ended up nonviolent, I
mean...ten minutes after the speech and some of us were already arguing.
Fel I even saw a chicken thrown at someone,
disturbing...
But it all went smooth, we were given a sort
of rundown what’s happening around the world.
Apparently things are going well, but some are
worried about the often earthquakes, higher waves, and stuff like that. Shame
we don’t have techno shamans.
Myself, I'm not concerned with that, stuff
happens all the time. Not like the end of the world is coming.
And even if by some minor chance the world
would go boom, I bet my fingers that techno mages will be sipping cold drinks
when that happens.
All under the safety of some huge force field.
After the meeting everybody went their way and
I headed to the workshop, wanting to work on my new device.
I admit, my workshop is nothing compared to
those here. All the tools and machines... all the buttons and valves...
Way easier to work here, all the wonderful
noises, brings me inner peace.
During my work I was approached by a kind
gnome, he was interested in my design.
We talked for some time, turns out the gnomes
use such communication devices on a larger scale, gnomecorders or something.
With his help I was able to solve the biggest
problem, how to make sound go both ways.
It was a matter of using the right flux
capacitors and attaching them to a refined portal stone.
I had no idea that it can be cut and scaled
down. Instead huge portals, it opens a small one through which voice can be
sent.
The rest of the day went smooth, worked on
stuff, and helped others, ones less experienced.
Next day I got to the meeting just before it
started, it was an open discussion about the future.
What we should share with the world, what we
should build to improve life comfort. Stuff like that.
I was so proud to be able to present my shower
device, at least its plans and performance. Got a nice applause too!
There were a few arguments of course, mainly
about power and energy. Naturally it was an argument between gnomes and
goblins.
Ended with one of the Cabal members silencing
both sides. While the meeting was fruitful, for us all, nothing more to write
about it.
When I left the meeting chamber I went to the
observatory, bought some maps for my holographic display.
Then a great thing happened, as one of the
more motorized techno mages I managed to get permission to try out a new flying
machine model.
Best experience in my life. The speed,
maneuverability, it was incredible. My hair was a mess afterwards!
Later, around evening I checked out the
market, regular one. Got myself some exotic fruits and food.
Day three was exciting, the meeting was more
open than before, a great deal of topics were discussed.
Also, this meeting the most talented members
of the House presented their newest inventions, along with the Cabal.
I could write on and on about what I saw, but
will just write down the most interesting things.
Water walking boots, fire sprayers, techno
mage armor suits, totally building one!
Sound remembering crystals, multi spectrum
goggles with improved frame.
A special boomerang that can draw objects to
itself, tech pets, moisture reducers.
Gah...Of course instead listing the cooler
ones I almost wrote about them all. Oh well.
Oh, also improved syringes! Totally should
dwell on that, with Anita and Relaria CONSTANTLY getting wounded, something
tells me I will need that.
Rest of the day I worked on my hog, a goblin
told me it’s annoying that people call those vehicles "Hogs".
As he said, goblins ride on trikes, rest of
the world rides on bikes. He laughed and left. Odd fellow.
But maybe "bike" is a better word.
So, I was working -all- day on my bike. Replaced engine, exhaust pipe, most of
the metal parts.
Cleaned the paint, made it look brand new.
Went to bed so damn tired...the effort was
worth it. Sweeter engine sound, less fumes, slightly faster.
Next day I woke up in the afternoon, only
because the noise from the market outside was so loud.
Got dressed and immediately went shopping. It
was the techno mage open market.
Gizmos and devices everywhere, sold some of
mine too, got a nice sum for that.
Needless to say, I spent all day buying,
selling, trading, and bartering. Great way to learn new business methods,
especially when you try haggling with a goblin.
The day passed so fast...returned to my
quarters loaded with bags of bought stuff and a heavy money sack.
Next day we had small group sessions,
discussing topics in designed chambers.
Twenty hours later my brain was fried from all
the information. And I got a mechanical rabbit, scary thing...I forgot who gave
it to me.
No, wait! I remember! It was mechanized
companion discussion, I got it in a trade.
Mechanized rabbit for me, Mechano-Hog model
box for the human. Fair trade in my opinion.
I present a lot of my inventions, discussed
them, got improvements for them. Too much to even write about it, plus my hand
is getting tired of writing all this. Gah!
I need a pen or quill that writes down what I
say, would be really helpful.
Even though this day, fifth one, didn't end, a
lot of techno mages already left, returning to their homes. Doing the same
soon, just gonna buy those few things I forgot about.
Going to use a portal gate to get home though.
I certainly don’t feel like going all the way on my bike. Too long and my ass
hurts! ...need to buy a more comfortable seat.
Day 16 - Holy fel...
First day of being back. Again I can hug my
pillow, take a shower in my own bathroom.
Met up with Fayne when I came back from the
trip, she's looking good, even though really bored.
She told me that Madeline was doing okay and
there was only one incident of trouble.
Showed her the things I brought from my
journey, gave her a bottle of the beverage. It tastes good even in undeath,
damn good recipe if you ask me.
We talked for a few hours but soon I got too
tired and I had to go to bed.
Fayne went home and I went to my bedroom,
falling asleep before even changing clothes.
Next day, first thing in the morning, after
making breakfast for Madeline, I went to jog around the beach.
Wearing battle armor, nifty thing. Helmet can
open and close, heat is removed every few minutes, armor fully armed.
It’s not that heavy even, at least not for me,
no idea if someone else would have problems wearing it.
While I was doing laps, noticed Relaria in the
gardens.
As I approached her, she instantly knew who it
was inside the armor. I'm getting too obvious.
We talked for some time, she told me briefly
what happened when I was gone.
Apparently, big bad Relaria will be a mother,
I'm happy for her. Tho Anita is going to freak out.
Soon we talked about children, how they grow,
how the pregnancy goes. I scared her with some facts...
She hugged me tightly and sobbed, horrified.
Telling me how scared she is that she'll be a bad mother.
Then we had a goofy moment that I do not wish
to speak or write about, ever.
And then we had the most awkward conversation
ever...too awkward for my own diary.
Let’s say...we talked about "skills"
that are needed in a horizontal position when in bed.
After that, got back to running laps. Should
get back to working on my devices, inventions and all that.
But that can wait, need to take a shower
first.
Day 17 - Legendary
This was one long and awesome day. Started
with me working outside the workshop.
Ethereal equipment, scrap browsing, setting up
a training dummy for target practice.
Noticed an elf nearby, a new person living in
the neighborhood. A girl called Illiarna.
We talked for a moment, introduced myself and
told her about my workshop.
Work was fun, fel, it’s always fun. I spent
some time working on replacing some devices in my workshop, along with
equipment.
I went to the Spire to take a shower break
before doing some more tinkering.
As I was at the Spire, I decided to see if
Mady is back at her room. But...
In the room I saw...Alana!
She finally came back home! I was so happy, we
talked about all the times we missed each other and about what happened when
she was gone.
We also celebrated upstairs...I really missed
her...By the Sun, sometimes I look like a teenage girl...
Soon Caldir visited us, as he dropped by to
see if we're okay. Even if he didn't know that Alana was away, it was nice to
see him.
We talked and I told him the news about
Relaria. When he asked how she got pregnant, I run away, hiding.
Didn't want to explain it to him, it would be
awkward...and scary!
But he found me and I told him what Relaria
told me. He was confused at the very least.
We sat down on the couch and....Relaria came
to the Spire. After her, Elisse dropped by.
A family reunion, sadly Anita came here as
well. Then the end days started...
Relaria and Anita were questioned by Caldir
that wanted answers. As always Anita was blunt and direct.
It almost turned into an argument but the
situation wasn't that serious. At least for a while...
Then Anita spoke the truth about what happened
and Caldir got angry.
To ease the situation and calm everyone down,
I went to my workshop and brought a crate of cold Goba-Gola.
Everyone had a drink and we continued to talk.
Caldir and Elisse soon left, Elisse promising
to Relaria that she will help Caldir calm down.
Me, Alana, Relaria and Anita could now talk
without any bursts of anger.
I told Relaria what can happen during
pregnancy, as we're positively sure that she IS pregnant.
She puked a few times, even when Caldir and
Elisse were still at the Spire.
I mentioned the weird cravings and many other
pregnancy facts, seems she's still quite terrified by all this.
Tho I am certain that she and Anita will get
through it without any mental or physical damage.
Hmm...What else...
Oh yes, after a while they went home and me
and Alana had some free time.
But we both used it to spend a few family
moments with Madeline.
My little girl was really happy to see Alana
again. As they were talking and Madeline drew, I prepared smileycakes.
Soon we were eating and talking, mentioned to
Mady that her report card came by in mail.
I'm proud of her, only A's and she keeps on
getting praised by her teachers.
We discussed what she wants to study when
she's older, by typical childish logic she asked what doesn't need a lot of
studying.
Ended up with her saying that she will be a
techno mage just like me.
After we finished eating we went to my workshop,
all three of us. I had some presents for Madeline.
Gave her the communicator, dragon figurine and
the strider. I painted it in Blood Elven motives.
She quickly asked if she can take it for a
ride, when I said yes and helped her get on it, she really fast learned how to
operate.
That’s my girl! But hey, she has that in her
blood.
Mady kept riding and screaming happily,
meanwhile I showed Alana around my expanded workshop.
After explaining what the new devices do we
turned towards the exit and stood on the small walkway. Then I heard a loud
cracking sound.
Alana said she hears a lot of noises here but I
knew it’s one that isn't usual to my workshop.
We went back inside the inner workshop and
saw...a...
A small dragon whelp that hatched from the egg
I was safekeeping and studying.
It’s a long story, I was given an egg by a
team of dwarves while I was at the House.
It was supposed to be a science project, they
had the egg and I was to build a hatchery and simulate a normal hatching
environment.
Now I'm sure if this was a simply science
project.
Especially that at this moment I am in bed and
patting the head of quite the unusual black dragon...
Yeah, another household pet.
But anyway, the whelp stole the rose I had in
my hair and flew behind the table. Me and Alana exchanged whispers about this.
Soon I took the whelp into arms and held her,
her as I checked if it’s a boy or girl, in my arms.
We went outside and Madeline saw the little
dragon. She instantly asked if it’s for her.
I held back a smile and told her what
happened. I mean...I couldn't throw a baby away.
I did throw away a mechanical clockwork
dragon, pretty much useless now. It’s on top of my scrap pile. Mmm....scrap
pile...
No idea why I wrote that...but to the point.
We went all together to the Spire and I fed Miranda, that’s what I called the
whelp.
She was a bit confused and biting for a moment
but I calmed her down with a piece of meat.
Afterwards Madeline was petting her and we
decided that she will sleep in Madeline’s room, of course till she grows into a
drake and later a dragon.
Alana was busy so me and Mady went outside to
the beach to find things we would need to prepare a small nest for Miranda.
Some time passed, Madeline playing with
Miranda, I worked in my workshop. Had to throw away some unnecessary machines.
A while later I went to the Spire and noticed
that it’s empty... Moments later I heard voices coming from upstairs. Relaria
dropped by.
Relaria dropped by and saw a black dragon
whelp. Enough to say that she was...disturbed.
And saying that she will kill Miranda, I never
saw Madeline scared so much like at that moment.
I imagine that Relaria thought we've been
marked by a black dragon, as she mentioned Styginar.
Luckily we managed to calm her down, all this
commotion got Alana so tired that she went to bed. Can’t blame her.
I talked Relaria down and got some sense into
her. We agreed that if Miranda acts up and basically goes violent, she'll be
put down.
But I think Relaria realizes that it’s still a
baby, properly raised it can become a close friend and companion.
Madeline made sure that Miranda is out of
Relarias reach for the time being. Yet Relaria wanted to apologize.
So she did it in the best way in which you can
apologize to a woman. By offering candy.
Seemed to work as Miranda quickly snatched the
candy, munching on it happily. Even if it’s a longshot, she isn’t so reluctant
to get near Relaria.
Then we all tried the candy, to see why both
Ri'el and Miranda like it so much.
That’s because it’s really, really,
reaaaaaally sweet. And I must say, quite well.
Me and Relaria left Madeline and Miranda in
the kitchen with a bag of candy as I wanted to show Relaria what I did with the
workshop.
We talked about a lot of things, explained,
yet again this day, what does what. But we both got tired soon and Relaria went
home.
I got back to the Spire, cleaned up after
Madeline and Miranda and decided to join Alana in bed.
I bet I forgot about some minor things, but
who cares, I have a pet dragon!
And I wonder...how many writing errors I
made...perhaps will one day check all entries and correct any mistakes I find.
Day 18 - Legendary Part 2
So there I was, working on my battle armor. I
keep on adding and improving things in it.
Recently added a saw blade launcher to the shoulder
pads, one on each.
So far the gizmo list is quite impressive, and
I'm far from being done with it.
I now have something that I can turn into a
walking war machine, a suit of armor that will keep me protected no matter
what.
Let’s see... Saw blade launchers, force field
emitter, protective shield, rocket launchers, special padding, and joint locks.
Also added a few experimental things, arcane
amplifiers, speed boosters, bio-optic targeting system. In case my diary is
ready a non-technomage...goggles for fels sake!
Tho back to the point, aside the things
mentioned I also crafted a proper gun that fits the armor, as well as a sword, that’s
a saw. A sawsword!
I socketed a few of the armor points with
those metal sticking rocks...magnets! That’s the name. Inside the armor I set
up a way to keep myself healthy and in shape.
Installed potion injectors on the inside of
the armor. So if I need one, I just get a shot. Simple yet brilliant.
Wearing all that, I was training outside,
demolishing my training dummy. Guess I must've made quite enough noise as
Relaria soon dropped by.
She looked worried and curious what’s going
on, so I showed her what my armor can do.
Seconds later we were somewhat trying to
outmatch each other. In her foolishness and arrogance that moron released an
infused flamestrike.
She is irresponsible sometimes...Heh...She'll
make a perfect mother.
Fel, I'm still irresponsible and I would do
everything for Madeline.
Anyway, after telling her how stupid she was,
we decided to go to the Spire. I just had to take off my armor.
I fixed the heating issue and it’s not
uncomfortable to wear but I prefer to go casual.
I teleported to the Spire and looked around,
Anita was there, Fayne and Alana. Oddly Relaria wasn't here.
She used the orb and grudgingly said she can’t
teleport. At least she's listening to my advice.
As we all sat on the sofa we had a discussion,
about Relaria moving out of the Spire, completely.
Apparently Alana isn't happy about it, guess
she prefers to have family members nearby.
But the facts are there, living together
wouldn't work. Me with Alana, Relaria with Anita, Madeline doesn't have a room that’s
fully her own.
Shortly after the discussion I felt...uneasy.
As if I had a vision, something bad would happen, and it would happen really
soon.
I told everyone that I'm going to get my
armor, better safe than sorry.
Meanwhile Relarias verdant spheres began to
react, making me sure that was something was about to happen.
I quickly got my battle suit and returned to
the Spire. Alana went to Madeline’s room to watch over her.
Fayne stood aside, simply waiting. Anita
prepared for the worst, drawing out her inner demon. When I saw such
group...fel, nothing would defeat us.
Then the orb flickered and someone entered the
Spire......Eamane.
It’s easier for me to write this now, not
shaking like I did before trying to get some sleep.
So...Eamane was there, but of course, demon
possessed. It was a short conversation, she only said that I won’t be near
friends always.
Then I snapped...I felt like I want to beat
the shit out of that demon, even if it was Eamanes body.
I run up to her, grabbed her shoulder and
turned her around. Eamane was lucky I was sane enough to control myself.
The moment I saw her face, I punched her. I
didn't think about it, if my armor will do more damage, will I damage her face,
I just punched.
She fell to the floor and I dragged her to the
couch. For a moment I even considered killing her, while she was knocked out.
But I couldn't get myself to do it. It was
still Eamane, my greatest friend, my biggest crush, my biggest reminder of the
life I once had.
Relaria told me the demon can be defeated,
controlled. But I knew that won’t happen. At least I tried to convince myself
that it won’t work.
Fayne went upstairs, to check on Madeline and
Alana. I took Eamane and followed Relaria outside.
She began to prepare a ritual, to remove the
demon. At that moment I actually believed it will work.
Relaria told me she'd prefer Anita to be there
so I quickly dragged my lazy sister outside. It was a good move, when things
got harder, she supported Relaria with her own energy.
I watched what was happening, half scared,
half anxious.
But soon...well I knew that would happen.
Eamane began to fade away as the demon was removed.
I told Relaria to continue...I cried but I told
her to keep on with the ritual.
Moments later things got even more
complicated, Madeline run up to me. She wanted to see what’s going on.
Eamane was dying, Madeline shouldn't see that,
even without knowing the truth, it wasn't to be seen by her.
I yelled at her...It broke my heart...
Thoughts cl-- Letters faded, out of ink.
Oh for bloody fel. Forgot to refill the ink
bottle, where was I...
Yeah...so I had thousands of thoughts for a
second. I didn't know what to do...I hate when that happens.
But I couldn't let Eamane die. I decided what
should happen. I hope it was the right choice.
I told Relaria to put the demon back into
Eamane, only when Relaria mentioned it I realized how good that idea is.
Weakened demon would be hidden and subdued,
would give us all time to get Eamane stable and make sure she can fight the
demon on her own.
While she was coming back to health, I rushed
to the Spire to get Madeline.
Poor girl was sitting inside the toy set
circle, silent and talking even to Fayne.
I told her if she wants to meet her
"dad". Madeline turned around instantly and asked if he is here. I
offered my hand and took her outside.
Relaria was done, Eamane was slowly getting
up. And then I told Madeline the truth.
She was really shy, hiding behind me, only peeking
at Eamane. But...but when they hugged...
My heart burst into flames, I didn't laugh or
smile but that was one of the happiest moments of my life.
Relaria and Anita took Madeline upstairs, me
and Eamane were alone. No demons or dumb brothers. Just us.
We kissed...closing the book, so to speak.
That chapter of our lives was finally closed.
I know I'm engaged to Alanassori and part of
the Dawnfire family but no matter what argue I have with Alana, Eamane deserved
that last verse of the final chapter.
Slowly I felt the day’s weight falling on my
mind and body. Together with Eamane went to the Spire.
Mady was eating candy by Anita’s side, Relaria
was there too. I walked upstairs and got changed into pajamas. Left my armor on
the floor, organized and everything.
Went to bed and tried to get some sleep, but
couldn't. Only slept for a few hours, two or three.
Got a lot of coffee and went to my workshop.
Sitting now by the desk, browsing bills and mail. Well did it a few minutes
ago.
Maybe I will design something for my armor...
Day 23 - Clean teeth
I just noticed how I skip some days...not
writing anything down. Guess they are really lame.
Last few days, almost a week, was constant
work. Building toys and devices to sell.
Nothing important really happened, which was
quite disappointing. So I began to form a brilliant plan...
A journey. A long journey during which I will
visit Titan facilities.
I mean, why not. Alana spent weeks in Dalaran
and I had to wait. I can go on a journey too.
Only Madeline is keeping me home. Well Alana
too, but Alana doesn't cry when I leave. But who knows...
As I was packing my things, only necessary
ones of course, the doorbell rang.
Yeah, doorbell. Someone pushes a big red
button that’s by the Orb and inside the Spire we hear a bell.
Really useful. But anyway, I heard the bell
and went downstairs. Met Illiarna there, she was looking for Relaria.
Soon Eamane walked up to us and as Illiarna
left, we went upstairs to talk.
Eamane sat down on the couch and so did I,
moments later she moved to my side and put my hand on her belly.
She told me to feel something, only after a
few moments I realized what her goal is.
Turns out she met someone who she really cares
about, a girl that as she said, has a genetic malfunction.
And she got pregnant, even if I didn't felt
the baby in her, I felt the magic going nuts inside her.
We talked about it for some time and I told
her about my journey idea. She told me she wants to come with me.
Instantly I told her that is not going to
happen. She should be with that girl, especially that apparently she needs
Eamane.
Honestly, I was at peace with this thought,
that she will find someone else. I'm even happy for her, she deserves it.
And now I realized that this is my...seventh
time when I resume writing this entry. Stupid book.
Reading an amazing one. The title is "The
Old Goblin and The Maelstrom", quite good I must say.
Just one more chapter and I will finish this
diary entry.
Alright, where was I...
Oh yes, after talking with Eamane I told her
she can use my workshop in her techno mage training.
Also gave her a tour around my new and
improved workshop. Both outer and inner areas. Seems she likes it.
We talked on the move while I was getting
ready to leave. Already got my armor when I remembered to get authorization
codes for the facilities.
Got two from my mechagnome assistant and a
security override code from the databank. I was all ready to leave.
Last thing was to get my packed supplies from
the Spire. But as I drove up my bike near the stairs, met Madeline.
My little lazy girl asked me if I can prepare
breakfast for her. I told her she is old enough to do it on her own.
But her cute face made me agree, as we were
heading to the kitchen I told her I'm leaving.
She got sad and asked me why I have to leave
as I just came back. I just couldn't break her heart and I agreed to stay home
for a few days.
Madeline asked me to make smileycakes and coco
for breakfast and give her candy for dessert. I blame Relaria for Mady wanting
so much sugar.
I went to my workshop and took my armor off
and came back to the kitchen, preparing food for her.
Soon I had a whole plate of smileycakes and
made coco for her. Madeline came down from her room and sat by the table.
As she ate I told her that she will have a
baby brother or sister. She cheered and asked me when it will happen and who is
having the baby.
I told her that it’s Eamane and she asked me
if she should call Eamane "mom" or "dad". Told her she
should say "mom". Won’t be that awkward and weird.
After she finished her meal I told her to go
brush her teeth. Little princess told me that she didn't brush them when Fayne
looked over her.
Will have to chat with Fayne about that...
But at any rate, Madeline told me she has her
toothbrush in her room. It surprised me and I asked why it’s there, not in the
bathroom.
Turns out she played doctor with Miranda and
used her own toothbrush to clean Miranda's teeth.
...kids...
I took the toothbrush and incinerated it
quickly. Decided to buy a new one for Madeline and one specifically for Miranda.
Went quickly to Silvermoon and bought them.
When I came back home, Mady was nowhere to be found.
Lucky for me, her aura is so strong that it’s
easy to see her when I use my goggles. She was hiding under Relarias bed.
She kept telling me how she doesn't want to
brush her teeth but after a while I finally got her to go to the bathroom.
There she brushed her teeth like a good girl.
I could finally go to bed and start to read my book, the same that I mentioned.
And here we are dear diary, going to read more
and take a nap.
Day 24 - Clockwork Army
Got another batch of parts from Outland. Well...basically
it was an inactive Reaver.
Took me several hours without sleep but I
managed to set it up today. And made it patrol the beach.
As it did, it found Illiarna, which was scared
as fel. I told her to calm down and offered her something to drink.
Gave her a bottle of Goba-Gola, she didn't
know how to open it. I love how the bottle cap just goes off when you twist it.
We drank and talked, she calmed down when she
didn't see the Reaver.
Illiarna sipped some of the drink but said she
doesn't like it, asking what it is made of.
We spent some time talking about our day and
what happened today.
I finished my beverage and Illiarna asked if I
can finish hers. But why finish when I can dispose of both bottles.
As she saw me disposing of the bottles using a
device, she asked if I don’t have enough gadgets.
How can one have enough gadgets!? They are
awesome. Almost everything can be improved using technology. And magic.
When we were outside she became nervous again,
due to the Reaver being nearby.
I told her to calm down but she said that bad
things always happen to her.
She even gave me an example, when she was
captured by one bandit group and after escaping, by another one.
Afterwards she left and I could return to my
work. Should improve the Reaver’s mechanisms and servos.
Damn good to have such impressive defense
system here, but Illiarna thinks it will make the coast scarce in visitors.
Maybe she's right, no idea, but I'd rather
have it as a peaceful place than a crowded one.
While she was here we also talked about rumors
that people are spreading.
That I'm building an army and that my
clockwork assistants are dragging people into some furnace.
Utter felshit...Will have to improve my
reputation later, maybe some discounts or limited time offers.
Something to think about while I work.
Day 35 - Personal Reconfiguration
After almost two weeks of boredom, finally a
breakthrough. Thanks to my mechagnome.
As you know my dear diary, I was planning a
journey, but now I changed those plans.
I was bored and looking through schematics,
thinking I might've forgotten about something.
And then my mechagnome reacted, telling me
that his observation resulted in an advice.
Meaning that he suggested what I should do to
prevent boredom and possibly use my current skills.
He mentioned that I could be a medic, soldier,
archmage, archaeologist, pilot, jobs like that.
I got interested in the archeology idea, would
be fun, at least after he told me the chances.
At first I thought it would be just digging in
the dirt to find some ancient napkin.
But as he told me, there is quite the chance
that I might find something useful, interesting or related to my work.
I told him to prepare a list of things I would
need, afterwards I went to the Spire.
It was empty of course, only Madeline home,
and she was busy drawing. At least she has a wonderful hobby.
I checked my bedroom, of course no Alana.
Threw out the things I got, all those decorations. Love is in the air my ass...
Madeline showed me her drawing and Miranda
walked up to us, cute bugger is growing fast.
The drawing was of our family, me, Madeline,
Alana, Caldir, Relaria. I must say, Mady has quite the drawing talent.
Then I let her get some chocolates for her and
Miranda, then they began playing and I promised Madeline to get some pet toys.
But I'll do that later, right now going to
complete the list of things I need to become an awesome archeology.
Unless some higher power decides that it’s
beyond my limits. But to fel with that, I'm bored.
Also need to get some additional parts for the
Reaver...the voice recognition system seems faulty, and it tends to stutter.
Day 37 - Catastrophic system failure
Will keep it short. Nothing interesting or positive
that I should write long.
I wrote a letter to Alana, told her that I'm
done with this.
I am sick of being alone in the Spire, of
waiting constantly for her arrival.
She spent only a day here after she came back
from Dalaran, now she is gone again.
I don’t know why, she doesn't write, nothing.
Perhaps she found herself a new lover, new
partner, don’t care. I already got ditched once, won’t happen again.
Wrote her that if she doesn't come back soon,
I won’t be here. Neither will Madeline or Miranda.
I'll pack all things and just move it to my
workshop, set up some hammocks there and that’s it.
Perhaps Mady was right, long time ago, she
asked if we're arguing. We were, Alana changed in Dalaran.
Maybe not even in Dalaran, she kept drifting
away, not caring for her family. She became an absent mood killer.
Yet she blamed Anita for turning Relaria into
a friendly and calm person.
I don’t know what to do...After I wrote the
letter I went to Relaria and Anita, they are my family...no one else to see.
It was raining, I cried, knocked on the door.
I think I woke her up, I need to build an awesome pocket watch....but. Oh yes,
put it on wrist for easier use.
That’s...yeah, that’s my problem. Give me a
technological or magical issue and my mind just rushes to solve it.
Here I am, sipping Goba-Gola with some
imported whiskey, writing down how my love life is being blown to oblivion...
And I suddenly just think about grabbing a
spanner and tinkering.
But. Where...
So Relaria opened the door, she was sleeping I
think. She told me I look horrible and invited me inside.
She made tea, I told her what’s going on. We
talked about Alana acting so odd. The topic kept making Relaria go weaker and
more tired.
I felt dumb for bringing it up, for risking
her health for my own selfish needs.
Soon she collapsed on the table, Anita woke up
and we both rushed to Rel’s side. She woke up soon, they told me that Relaria
is barely eating.
Feldamn imbecile...had to force her to eat,
talked with Anita how I will visit them twice a day, to make sure Relaria
follows a proper diet.
Relaria put the verdant spheres over Anita
also, I told her to forget about using any kind of magic.
Every spell puts a strain on the user, that’s
a fact. And she's pregnant, so it would also harm the growing baby.
While I was at their house, I calmed down, got
my mind off the negative thoughts.
Now...I don’t know, I hear Madeline playing
around the house, maybe will go play with her.
I'm beginning to think that she's the only
important thing in my life that is left.
Day 44 - Beginning of the end
The page
covered with teardrop spots.
I don’t know where to start...Should I write
what happened between this or the last entry or just write down what happened
recently...
I was in my workshop, as always no one here or
home, Madeline just drawing and doing her homework.
My current self-given task was to build
something that will get my mind off the whole issue with Alana.
When I looked at the few things laying on my
table I had a glimpse of inspiration and started working.
Then Relaria dropped by, I gave her the letter
Alana wrote to me and got back to work.
I didn't want to think about it, about
emotions, I just wanted to work.
I told her that I will wait till midnight and
then abandon all hope.
Relaria told me it’s time for an intervention
and told me to teleport her to Dalaran. I knew what she wanted to do...
At first I locked her in an energy cell, my
teleports failsafe. Didn't want her to risk her health just because of my
problems.
But she kept being stubborn and I just gave up
and opened a portal for her, then I returned to my workshop.
There I finished building a portable music
device and found a way to store music on something you can carry around.
I needed a book with music sheets to test it
so I went to the Spire. After finding a book I needed...I noticed someone in
the Spire.
And it wasn't someone I knew. It was an undead
elf, asking about Alana.
I twitched...aimed my wrist rocket at her and
told her to leave. I just can’t stand the amount of feldamn zombies brainwashing
Alana.
She jumped off the stairs and into the water,
at least one problem solved. Then I could calmly return to my workshop.
When I was back there, I prepared a prototype
music disc, my mechagnome helped with forging a lightweight and smooth disc.
I took the device and disc home and decided I
need a sophisticated break from work.
Tea and wonderful music. While walking towards
the kitchen, I saw Caldir. Another zombie...
Elisse was in the Spire as well, I was
preparing tea and turned the device on, Caldir told me it’s a curious device
and asked how am I.
How could I be if not bad? Then Relaria came
back, along with Alana.
After all this time, after the letters we
exchanged...I expected her to walk up to me, kiss me or slap me, anything.
I just wanted a sign she still cares, but no,
she went to Caldir and completely ignored me. So I just put the tea away, took
my device and left.
In the garden I saw that zombie again, I put
my rocket to her face and told her to give me one reason...
I'm sick of the undead everywhere...I need to
solve this problem.
She twisted my arm before I could launch the
rocket, Alana came down to the garden too, blaming me for not caring.
Instead focusing that I have a twisted arm,
she turned to the undead...
So I guess I'm worth less than a zombie.
Wonderful.
I told her I will take my things from her
bedroom before dinner and walked towards my workshop.
Already a plan was forming in my head, an
ultimate solution to everything that happened here. A powerful explosion,
detonating every single thing in my workshop.
I cried...I smiled...Alana chose zombies over
me. I wanted everything and everyone to end in a glorious explosion.
As I started to put the plan in motion,
Relaria and Caldir came to my workshop. I told them what I'm doing, told them
how big the blast will be.
He already thought about killing me, excusing
himself that it would be to protect his family.
I don’t believe him...he's just a zombie...he
just wanted to kill me. Relaria on the other hand...
She is truly family, truly caring. She told me
she will stay with me till the end.
Then Alana came by, telling me that I ruined
everything, that I made her scared, scared of me.
I told her...told her how I missed her and I
just wanted to see if she still cares. She left...scared.
I told my mechagnome to stop every explosion
preparation he was doing. It was all over.
Throwing my goggles away I walked towards my
inner workshop, knowing what is left for me to do.
Relaria and Caldir followed, Relaria because
she cared and Caldir because he wanted confirmation that nothing will go boom.
She told him to leave and stayed with me. I
opened my armor locker and took my sword from it.
I wanted to just stab myself, die in my
favorite place and get this over with. Relaria wanted to stop me...telling me it’s
not worth it.
She was wrong, Alana was and is worth
everything. And I prepared to do the biggest thing, bad or not, didn't care.
Elisse came to the workshop while Relaria kept
me from killing myself. She told me that Alana is waiting and that’s my chance.
I like Elisse...she may be undead but she
isn't so zombie like Caldir. Won’t kill her.
Relaria put my sword on the armor locker and I
went to Alana. I opened the door, hoping to see her sitting and looking at the
door, at me.
But hey...life is a bitch dear diary...Caldir
was there. He is always near Alana, always acting as a twisted protector,
always isolating her. Will kill him.
That moment I was hopeless...He wouldn't let
me near her and would influence Alana to ditch me.
I returned to my workshop...sitting down in a
corner and crying. Relaria passed by me and said she needs to fix this.
But I was tired of always being marked as
guilty. I wanted Alana for once to take the initiative, that she would come to
me.
That didn't happen, so why bother with life. I
returned to my inner workshop and took the blade.
As I started to make peace with what will
happen, to me and those close to me, I even got poetic. Would you believe that?
Anyway, wait...seems I'm having my mood
lifted...Guess just throwing this off my chest eases my mind.
Well Relaria came to me again, telling me that
she won’t leave me to die alone and that she will take her life as well.
I told her, crying and shaking, that I
wouldn't do this...If only Alana would give me a sign. If she'd came by and
talked to me.
Relaria agreed and sat down by the table. I
couldn't do this, couldn't end myself with her watching. I was so close to
doing it.
I told her that I hope Alana will be good to
Madeline. And...Finally...Alana came to the workshop.
She approached me, I looked at her, and she
moved the blade away and pulled me to her. I just kept looking at her eyes, and
then she kissed me.
With the corner of my eye I noticed Relaria
getting up and leaving.
I was alone with Alana, something I would kill
for...just for those few minutes just with her.
Those few seconds I thought it will be okay,
that we will solve this, that we will be happy...
She said it’s the beginning of the end and I
had to accept it.
Without a blade impaling me...I died inside.
She left soon, going to the Spire, or at least
that’s what I think because she said "Meet you 'home' ".
Not home but "home". This...this is
beyond me...I don’t know what to do anymore...what to say.
I sat down hiding behind the washing machine
and cried.
She said she's here...said that we will meet
at home...but she didn't say "I love you"...didn't show any sign of
affection.
Day 45 - Life anew
So after working in my workshop I went to the
Spire, curious if anyone is at home.
Passed the napping Madeline, meat devouring big
Miranda and went upstairs.
Alana was in the bedroom, standing by the
bookshelf. We talked about how pathetic and horrible I am.
I apologized for everything I have done she
told me she doesn't want me to leave.
Nonetheless, it wasn't how we were before, there
was distance between us.
Even though Love is in the Air was over...I
chose to reveal what I had planned for us.
I told her to look behind her favorite book, I
hid a gift there. Well technically it was my hiding spot before I could put my
plan in motion.
An envelope containing a love letter and
instructions, also I hid there a small vial.
I planned this since Relaria and Anita told
the family that Relaria is pregnant.
Such plan...such intrigue...
She was to find the envelope after entering
the Spire, at the beginning of a flower petal trail, leading to the bedroom.
There I would be waiting, in bed, seconds away
from chugging that elixir down and granting Alana her deepest wish.
Now it seems...perfect, and I completely
ruined it with my jealousy, impatience and lack of faith.
Somehow I managed to fix this...letting Alana
read the letter and then I drank the elixir.
Well...we did it.
After that, she looked happy, REALLY happy. I don’t
know if it was my current state, the thing we did or maybe she simply fell into
a good mood.
Whatever it was...I am happy as well.
But after we were done, we went downstairs and
I made tea while she went to see her mother.
Once she returned I asked if she told her
mother the great news.
She mentioned it to her but focused on Kalari
that was there, giving her a rag doll and a letter.
Alana told me that Kalari is afraid to come to
the Spire now, after all I did to her.
I wrote a letter to her and Alana sent it.
After that I was bored at home while Alana was gardening.
As I got dressed properly I went downstairs to
the garden, I noticed that Alana is looking at something.
Turns out we were having guests, Elisse and
Kalari.
We talked for a moment, laughing at Caldir’s
love names and things like that. It was all casual till Kalari said something...
She lost her dagger and her mother’s cloak in
the water pump I placed in the water.
I panicked and run to my workshop, finding
both of the items in the filters.
Luckily I didn't incinerate the contents
yesterday. I was carrying the seaweed covered things towards the door...Kalari
was just outside.
I panicked, offered to clean them and fix her
ripped cloak, I felt horrible.
But she just took them and went back to Alana,
I felt so bad that I didn't move from my spot for a while.
Alana said she will go now and Kalari offered
to talk with me, to bury the hatchet and become friends.
She hugged Alana and stroked her hair,
mentioning a necklace. I slowly twitched and asked what necklace.
Alana explained that she got a necklace from
Kalari just for being nice.
But I could feel that something angry was
building up inside me, when that undead hugged her and touched her hair...
So! We went inside my workshop and we talked.
About us being friends and why I was so hostile towards her.
Turns out...Kalari has feelings for Alana. I
snapped. I told her to excuse me and I went to get my armor and weapons.
I only wanted to do one thing at that
particular moment. Dismember her.
Chop her to bits and see her slowly die,
again.
Oh right, before that she asked me if I can fix
her cloak.
Almost forgot about it. Oh well, happens when
you focus on murderous intents.
Back to the story, we argued, I raged at her,
warned her that I will kill her.
Finally she admitted she isn't sure if she
loves Alana or even likes her, fel, she even said that she feels something to
Relaria.
I laughed at her, how miserable she is...Alana
protected by me and Relaria watched over by Anita...
Hardly possible to hit on any of them, good
thing in my opinion. At least we can all keep each other safe.
In the end Kalari said she will forget about
Alana if I stop thinking about killing her.
We agreed on that and on the fact that we will
try to be friends. After that we talked about Kalari finding her own happiness.
I suggested she might look for Fayne, I don’t think
she's into girls but hey, and at least Kalari would be somewhere else.
I told her I will fix her cloak and that she
can take some Goba-Gola for the road, and then she left.
At that moment I was finally free to listen to
music and work.
Day 47 (I think so...stupid forgetting
me) - One Jacianti for the road!
Ugh, completely forgot to write down what
happened recently, now I have to scribble down all the bits I remember.
So! I was working in my workshop and heard
shouting, when I walked outside, heard something hitting hard against my roof.
On the beach I found a gnome, a techno mage
like me. Her name is Jacinda and she had no idea that she crash landed in
Quel'Thalas.
She was afraid I'd kill her, being a blood elf
and everything, but once we both understood we're fellow techno mages we both
calmed down.
I offered her a bottle of Goba and she told me
its old, that gnomes made their own brew, she even gave me the recipe which we
improved and named the drink Jacianti.
Funny name, I like it. We also worked together
on a new device, something to carry objects without touching them.
First attempt failed and Jacinda got hit in
the head with a piece of scrap. But after modifying the device it worked
flawlessly.
We talked about what devices we build,
compared some that we both have. She's quite friendly and smart.
Uh what else happened...Well as she left me
the gravity controller I gave her a Mechano-hog model kit, as a souvenir.
Aside that, we just talked about engineering
and stuff, she left after we made a toast to new friends and new inventions.
Day unknown, 51 maybe - The Future
Miranda is bigger, drake size. Met Relaria and
Kalari. Told them about my goal and idea.
Started to work on it. No time for a diary,
too much work. Will write things down when done.
The following six pages are literally filled with designs, rough
sketches and basic blueprints. Breathtaking designs for machines and devices,
schematics of things yet to be made, drawings
of cobweb with complex calculations.
of cobweb with complex calculations.
